Urethra Creep
UC is a group of Americans that are proud and will fight to the death... UC is a band unlike any other.
The music is raw and passionate and there is a heavy importance placed on stage presence and presentation. A UC show is unlike any other, and UC's music is unlike any other.
At a practice session in 2013, we recorded our new songs on my DSLR camera just so we wouldn't forget how to play them if we had long breaks in between practicing. My computer crashed a while ago and I thought these were lost forever, but I found them! I cleaned them up as best I could and I present them to you now. These were some of my favorite songs we had ever written. Unfortunately, this was recorded before we added that sick ending part in Crooked Gait, and before Schneider Logistics and Japanese Smokemin had lyrics. Enjoy~😘

The first time we played at Fort Ryland we had the fog machine. It leaked everywhere and we felt super bad about it. RIP Ryland

Hey guess what! UC is five years old!
That's right, in the spring of 2010 Urethra Creep had our first real practice in the barn. There was a practice before that in Steve's dad's garage but that doesn't really count because all we played was a sloppy cover of Spazz's "Hey Bob What's Up?" (which turned into "Hey Troy What's Up?"(which eventually turned into our smash hit "Lemon Saw")). The idea of UC had existed for a while before that, however, The concept of a band based entirely around our inside jokes and with a name that made no sense was conceived in The Lair, and lyrics for about 40 songs were written in the UC Diaries.
During our first practice we completed "I Take You" and "Mark's Song" and began working on "Mighty Forces Will Come To Your Aid". Mighty Forces took us half a year to complete, when we tried to record it for our demo we sadly failed. We recorded our demo in October of 2010 after having compiled a worthy handful of songs. We recorded the demo at Snaz's parents' house on my laptop using the recording box thingy that Bobby so graciously let us borrow when Snaz's parents were out of town.
UC played our first show on April 29, 2011 in Ryan McCoy's basement. It was also Vlad The Impaler's first show (RIP) and in the middle of the show Registered S*x Offender (RIP) showed up out of nowhere with a bunch of people and asked if they could play the show and play before us. We said yes because we are nice and were excited that so many people had suddenly showed up for our first show. After RSO played they, and everyone they came with, left immediately and we became bummed (thanks Clark).
Over the years we've played just about every show spot in Reno. The Alley, Fort Ryland, Ryan's Saloon, Jubjub's, Ground Zero, Studio on Fourth, The Furnace, The Hideout, Holland Project (only once, thanks Clark). The only place we haven't played is Knitting Factory but lord that would be a s**tshow. There were some great shows and some awful shows. It is told that our best performance was given at The Furnace Halloween show, whereas our worst show was the first time we played The Alley (woof).
Five years is a long time for a Reno band of similar genre to us. In these five years, Austin Bunnell has been in like four bands and we've played with all of them. We've seen a lot of local bands come and go but we have held strong. In these five years we've recorded an album, created three t-shirt designs, and even went on a two-day tour from Sparks to Reno. A lot of people have been good to us and we've even managed to create this strange sort-of fanbase. We've played with some cool bands and some not-so-cool.
When we started the band none of us had jobs so we had a lot of time to devote to our music. It was good. Things have changed since 2010 though. Our drummer quit (that set us back 6 months), we have full-time jobs (well, two of us do), and Jeff even has a dang baby now. We've only been able to play two shows in the last two years, much to the surprise of many who assumed we had called it quits. Despite our infrequent show playing and everyone assuming we were done, rest assured that we are not done. UC is still strong, still important. We still have pride for our child and will not give up on her. UC will blossom once again, lif just gets in the way sometimes.
Just remember, all our failings are Aaron's fault.
Where the f**k did we come up with "The Vin Diesel of Hardcore"?! I don't even remember
