TORORO DISTRICT SET TO LAUNCH DISBURSEMENT OF PDM MONEY TO HOUSEHOLDS.

A team from the PDM secretariat led by th Deputy Coordinator of the Program Hon Joveline Kalisa held a stakeholders engagement with district officials led by the District chairperson, Deputy RDC, members of DEC, CAO, PDM focal person in the district, District planner, Technical staff, Parish chiefs, Town clerks and Subcounty chiefs at the district headquarters in regard to the Parish Development Model (PDM) status on 25th/04/2023

The team from PDM Secretariat urged the district to follow the guidelines of the program and fast-track the disbursement of funds to households after critically analyzing the target population of subsistence households.
They further cautioned technical staff to avoid including households that are not in subsistence sector from benefiting from the program because this will undermine the objectives of the program.
The team further informed stakeholders that so far 57M is lying on Parish Sacco accounts for the district and 59M for Parish saccos in the municipality and more than 50M will come to Sacco accounts before the end of the financial year to make 100M disbursed for this financial year 2022/2023.

The District Leadership resolved to launch the disbursement of funds to households on 02/05/2023 for the municipality and 05/05/2023 for the district if the sorting of households in the subsistence sector is completed.

I reminded civil servants of Tororo district that the Parish Development Model is one of the commitments made by the Government in the Manifesto of 2021-2023 of transforming Ugandans from the subsistence sector to the money economy and therefore need to implement it to fulfill commitment made by the President to the people of Uganda.

I further urged the Parish chiefs to be honest and transparent while sorting households in the subsistence sector and avoid engaging in corruption which will fail the project and would lead to their arrest.

During the field visit to Agurururu ward in Tororo municipality the Coordinator Hon Joveline Kalisa Deputy Coordinator Of The Parish Development Model Kalisa and team suspended the disbursement of funds in Agurururu ward , Western Division in Tororo Municipality following the unpreparedness.

She further tasked RDC's office to ensure that Agurururu ward, Western Division in Tororo Municipality is fully trained on PDM and beneficiaries should be from subsistence households.
Hon Joveline appreciated Kasoli ward in the western division, Tororo Municipality and urged technical staff to follow the guidelines and ensure disbursement is done as per set date.

Today I attended a wedding Ceremony of Mr Mugabekazi Of Mabonwa.

My message to the brides was about Loving , Appreciating, Supporting and trusting each other if they are to have a successful Marriage and most importantly to be grateful and fearful of the Almighty God

I have contributed 1.2m

At the same time, mother's Union leaders of Nyabuhikye archdeaconry gave me gifts in appreciation of the contributions I have made in their churches.

on top of the 5m I had contributed towards the construction of the church at Nyabuhikye Archdeaconry, today I still joined the fundraising and contributed 6.8 million making it a total of 11.8 million total contribution so far

Earlier today ,was at Fundraising ceremony at Kajwamushana Primary School,Keihangara Subcounty ,Ibanda South Constituency towards the construction of the school building .

As a Guest of Honour I have contributed all the Ironsheets worth 4.5m, bought a bull at 2550000 and I have given it to the mother's union group and Christian Women, goats etc worth 4.3m totalling 8.8M.

Over the weekend i was invited as Cheif Guest at Annual General Meeting of Ibanda Development Sacco.
I can confirm the sacco is doing well only that they need our support.
Women got 50m from Yoweri Kaguta Museven and as a Chief Guest i added more 5m as one way of supporting the work they are doing .
