For the September 2024 upcoming school year we will be offering five awards of $7,000 JMD for Back to School Assistance to Children currently residing in Greenvale District

The Berdel Joy Foundation was started through the inspiration and difference made by 2 women in the lives of their loved ones and community. Berdel Ricketts and Barbara "Joy" Ricketts exemplify love and kindness and have made and continue to make a lasting impact in the lives of others.

It is in this spirit that The Berdel Joy Foundation was formed and started. Mrs Berdel Ricketts lived a life of kindness, showing compassion and care to everyone who ever entered her presence. The legacy that she leaves behind and the hearts that she touched will never be forgotten. It is in honor of her legacy that The Berdel Joy Foundation seeks to give back to those less fortunate in the community of Greenvale District that she lived most of her life and to the broader communities in Jamaica a country chose never to leave.
