New music out today: Double-single "Autumn Sunshine" and "My Grandfather's Guitar". These are 2 tracks I composed for (instrumental) solo acoustic guitar. I recorded "My Grandfather's Guitar with my grandfather's all-original 1927 Model 2-17 Martin Guitar. Nearly 100 years old, I think the old guitar has a lot left to say! Hope you enjoy!

Svavar Knutur: L'auteur-compositeur-interprète islandais Svavar Knutur est le fils d'un instituteur et d'un pêcheur des zones rurales d'Islande. Au cours des dernières années, il a développé une relation plus étroite avec sa langue et sa culture d'origine, les histoires de sa famille et de ses ancêtres et le paysage émotionnel des gens du Nord. C'est aussi un conteur passionné.
Les performances de Svavar Knútur ont été largement saluées, tant dans la presse islandaise qu'internationale. L'édition allemande de Rolling Stone a souligné sa narration exceptionnelle, sa présence charismatique sur scène et son « coton doux, rêverie folklorique nordique ». Le magazine Rave de Brisbane l'a également décrit comme ayant « une voix digne de l'évanouissement » complimentant la « belle simplicité et l'émotion brute de ses chansons ». Influencé par des auteurs-compositeurs tels que Nick Drake, Kris Kristofferson et Bonnie « Prince » Billy, Svavar a développé son propre style, une rencontre entre le folk et le rock indépendant.

Mark Welles Mark Welles is a lifelong musician / multi-instrumentalist and longtime songwriter who somewhere along the way got sidetracked from his musical ambitions by a demanding corporate career. With the onset of a global pandemic and the birth of his daughter, Mark took advantage of more time at home to focus on music. The result is his debut album, "It Started Last Fall", a rootsy Americana-influenced modern folk album anchored by acoustic guitar, consisting of 11 original songs about love, setbacks and moving forward. Mark self-produced the album and played all the instruments on the tracks.

Claire Dickson Claire Dickson is a creative vocalist and composer from Medford, Massachusetts currently based in Brooklyn.
Claire creates as an improviser, songwriter, composer, and producer drawing from avant-pop, electronic music, and jazz. Her music values texture, fantasy, and feeling. She co-leads the songwriting project Myrtle and is currently working on a self-produced album of her solo work.
Growing up in a musical family, Claire was encouraged to pursue her love of singing and music. Throughout high school Claire participated in prestigious jazz programs such as the Berklee 5-week Jazz Workshop directed by Terri Lyne Carrington, Grammy Jazz Session, and YoungArts. She performed at Symphony Hall with the Boston Pops as a Fidelity Young Artists Competition Grand Prize Winner, the Kennedy Center as a U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts, and the Monterey Jazz Festival with the Next Generation Jazz Orchestra.
