Usually I am staging my own home with antiques but this week we were presented with the opportunity to assist @pyleshomesllc and to say I was excited was an understatement! This home is truly a work of art. @amberallen1 ‘s vision for creating European inspired spaces right here in small town KY just blows me away. Every detail was so well curated and I was so excited to get to style it! I brought along some of my most favorite pieces including the vase we all know and love. It made the perfect addition to the kitchen you all will see tomorrow. Stay tuned for part two!

I’ll never forget being pushed around in a stroller with my momma on our endless trips to the antique malls together. My very first piece I remember was an old chest of handmade baby doll clothes for my babies. I remember LOVING seeing all the cool old things and hunting for pieces with my momma to fill our humble home. It’s been the most joyous thing to do together with her. We have spent so many hours rummaging through the unwanted or passed down treasures in hopes to find that one special piece to give a second life. The treasure hunt runs in my blood and is my true happy place on earth. Nothing silences the world like a good trip to the antique store. I completely loose myself in the hunt. Imagining the ones who owned each piece, creating new ways to use something, thinking of the beauty that’s underneath the dust. There’s something so special about it all. It feels like a dream to get to play with the old treasures all day. And it’s even more special to share that love with you. While thinking about colors for this room, we knew we wanted something BOLD. We wanted this space to be a true representation of us and all our most favorite interiors. My husband and I have always loved moody spaces and have always gravitated towards spaces that make you feel something. Going with Tricorn black was the best decision. Though a scary one because anytime your painting white with the complete opposite, it’s easy to feel like you may be making a mistake but the boldness and moodiness this space brings into our home has been such an elevated change to our space. We are so excited to find the perfect antique chandelier next, curtains, get our rug in and really take it to the next level!! What have you all thought of the library? Celebrating our lord and savior at home this year! What a dream it has been to host in our library! I have dreamed up this moment for a year and it brought me to tears seeing it all come together and being able to host those we love most! We sure did miss my brother and sissy this year but we’re so thankful for time with my parents! To set our Easter table, I included these beautiful antique candelabras, some fresh tulips and found the most beautiful thrifted milk glass scalloped plates to set the scene. I am so happy with how it turned out and cried when my family decided to stay one extra night. Living so far away from them is so hard. Especially during the holidays but 2024 Easter will be a core memory forever. What do you guys think? How did I do for my first hosted holiday?

Monday Mood Boards are back! As we work on redesigning our builder grade home to feel more custom on a budget, we have put in so much time looking for the perfect inspiration that mixes our European roots with our good old southern Kentucky home.
