YOGA FOR BRAIN

Lets get those neurons firing in the Brain & make it ready to show their Brilliance by these simple yoga asanas specifically designed for the Brain!!

They are extremely simple & effective!!

1. CHANNEL CLEANING BREATH (NADI SHODHAN PRANAYAM)

Step 1
Sit in ardha padmasana, left hand in chin mudra. Right index & middle finger together gently touching the centre of the forehead. Right thumb on the edge of the right nostril & ring finger touching the edge of the left nostril
Step 2
Gently close ur right nostril with ur thumb. Inhale through ur left nostril, close it with ur ring finger. Open & exhale slowly through the right nostril.
Step 3
Keep the right nostril open, inhale & close it. Open & exhale slowly through the left. This is one cycle.
Step 4
Repeat 3 to 5 times

2. CHILD'S POSE (BALASANA)

Step 1
Sit on ur heels, separate ur knees about as wide as ur hips.
Step 2
Exhale & lay ur torso down between ur thighs.
Step 3
Lay ur hands on the floor stretched out & release the fronts of ur shoulders toward the floor.
Step 4
Stay anywhere from 30 seconds to a few minutes.

3. EXTENDED PUPPY POSE (Uttana Shishosana)

Step 1
Come onto all fours.
Step 2
As you exhale, move ur buttocks halfway back toward ur heels. Keep ur arms active.
Step 3
Drop ur forehead to the floor. For a long stretch press the hands down & stretch ur arms
Step 4
Hold for 30 seconds to a minute

4. LOTUS POSE (PADMASANA)

Step 1
Be sure to work with both leg crosses each time you practice.
Step 2
Palms together in Namaste pose with shoulders relaxed & spine erect.
Step 3
In the beginning hold for a few seconds. Gradually add a few seconds each week.

5. CO**SE POSE (SAVASANA)

Step 1
Place the body in a neutral position.
Step 2
Palms on the side relaxed & feet apart. Keep ur body still & immobile.
Step 3
Stay in this pose for 5 minutes

FOOD DISTRIBUTION TO DAILY WAGERS DURING LOCKDOWN

When the country was going through its first complete lockdown, there was so much panic, uncertainty & anxiety.

The worst affected were the daily wagers who had no means to procure even the bare minimum essentials.

During the toughest times we saw the unity that the people of India have…Breaking all barriers of religion & caste, keeping all differences aside how people came forward to help each other in the best way they could may it be big or small NGOs, Organizations, random group of people, individuals etc

I am humbled that I was chosen to be an instrument to help the daily wagers by giving them essential commodities. I feel blessed that I could reach out & help around 8000 people during lockdown.

It was a one of a kind experience thanks to the situation & pray that everything gets back to normalcy very soon

WHILE BREATHING OUT PUNCH WITH YOUR HAND & TWIST THE UPPER BODY SLIGHTLY TO GET MAXIMUM STRETCH. WHILE BREATHING IN COME BACK TO STARTING POSITION.

B. LOWER BODY :

1. SQUATS

WHEN YOU COME DOWN BREATHE IN. BEND THE BODY FROM THE HIPS. THE KNEES AUTOMATICALLY FOLD. ENSURE KNEES DO NOT CROSS THE TIP OF THE TOES. BREATHING OUT PUSH THE GROUND WITH YOUR HEELS. THE BODY WILL AUTOMATICALLY COME UP

2. LUNGES

WHILE BREATHING IN BEND THE RIGHT KNEE. WHILE BREATHING OUT LIFT THE RIGHT KNEE. ONCE YOU COMPLETE 10 COUNTS REPEAT WITH THE LEFT LEG.

2. WALKING COBRA

BEND DOWN WHILE BREATHING OUT. BEND YOUR KNEES IF YOU WISH. USING BOTH YOUR HANDS CRAWL OUT TO COBRA POSITION. HOLD FOR 5 SECONDS & CRAWL BACK WHILE BREATHING IN

3. PLANKS WITH A TWIST

POST AMPHAN RECOVERY

Commenced series of Tree Plantation Drives after the city was devasted by Amphan.

Kudos to the entire team for working tirelessly to make it happen even during such difficult times!!

It was most gratifying to see the local residents and shop owners join us in support.
Our entire team is humbled by their appreciation..

Together we did our part in making the city greener

After planting over 100 trees we had to stop our drives because the Covid situation worsened. But it did not dampened our spirit. We have commenced several service projects online.
