2022 was our first full year hosting guests at Knotty Pine. It was a small leap of faith and a lot of hard work, but we can happily report that it's been a truly amazing year. We owe this all to each of you who chose to spend your Hocking Hills getaway at Knotty. Thank you!

Moonville Tunnel. A unique little spot for lovers, hikers, ghost hunters, and graffiti artists. Approximately 30 mins from Knotty Pine, you'll want to download your GPS directions for this one as it's definitely off the beaten path. Totally worth an afternoon of exploring. Bring your swimsuits and go boating or kayaking at Lake Hope afterwards!

Hello! We're Julie and Marcus, Knotty Pine's owners. We call Bexley, Ohio home, although, Julie grew up in Logan making the Hocking Hills extra special to our family. We recently spent a few days at Knotty with our three kiddos and had the best time! While we love hosting guests, the moments we sneak in a getaway ourselves are some of our favorite family memories. For four days, we read books enjoying the views from the front porch rockers, played yard games, bird and deer watched (our porch ferns are a hot spot for local 🐦), hiked around the Hocking Hills, and explored the Moonville Tunnel.

Nothing like a few days in nature to rejuvenate the soul!

We love hosting guests at Knotty Pine and are always grateful when we can squeeze in a stay there ourselves. Feeling refreshed after some time in nature!

If you’re driving to the Hocking Hills from the North, consider checking out Clear Creek Metro Park. Beautiful hiking with virtually no crowd. We had this hike all to ourselves today and the fall foilage was perfection!

The best reviews come from seven year olds who write about their stay at at school! Thanks, Dane, we too think the foosball table is pretty awesome!

We developed Knotty Pine's art wall with locals in mind and hope to continue growing it over time! Our owners have roots in Logan, Ohio and really value keeping Knotty Pine as local as possible. Turns out this task isn't challenging, because the Hocking Hills is full of talent!
