The morning after the dinner photo was taken, sadly, we had to say good-bye to our wonderful travel companions as they went back home to Buffalo, N.Y. We however, stayed in Las Vegas for a few more days just to check it out. We continued our vacation by checking out a little desert town about an hour outside of Las Vegas called Pahrump. It was a very interesting little town full of very nice people and a great ice cream place on the circle with the horse picture.
Las Vegas baby!!! A few pictures of our first night there. We went to see the fountains and came across this display inside. It was so beautiful and reminded us all of Steam Punk. Good morning. Today are pictures from the hike that our friend Barb and I did up Diamond Head, and what a hike it was lol. It was a one heck of a hike and Barb was so nice, she slowed her pace way down so this non-hiker could keep up (Thank you Barb). What a great hike it was. The views were beautiful all the way up mountain but when we reached the top they were absolutely jaw dropping. The pictures really don't do it justice. And check out all the hats people lost while they were up there. It was so worth the hike to see the beauty that Hawaii has to offer.
These pictures are from Kuala Ranch. It's where many shows and movies like Jurassic Park, Lost, 50 first dates and many more were filmed. We loved the tour and our tour guide was absolutely awesome! I hope you enjoy the pictures.
We were reminded yesterday that some of the best sites to see are when you travel close to home. We went to The Buffalo Zoo to see Zoomagination Festival of Lanterns. I wasn't sure what to expect. We got there before dark and walked around and it was awesome but when the sun went down and the lights lit up, it was absolutely spectacular!! Some were even animated.
Another port in Hawaii. This one was in Kauai. Barb and I went to see Waimea Canyon. Such beautiful views every where we looked and we even saw some wild chickens there lol. After that our bus stopped at a water spout in the rocks. That was really cool to see also. It reminded me of the water spouts we would see on Lake Ontario in the winter but those were in the ice.
Who here is a fan of expiration dates? We get it – no one is. That’s why starting today, we’re eliminating expiration dates on all flight credits. That’s right. At Southwest, flight credits don’t expire. Learn more: swa.is/FlightCreditFAQs
More pictures of us enjoying our trip to Hawaii. We spent some time just checking out shops and even had some shaved ice.
That’s one big boy!
It’s time to book your hunt.
