one of the great joys I have as the founder of little green shop is meeting local suppliers/artisans + experiencing first hand the fruits of their heart driven labours.
one such artist is Sarah Milan of

SS is a one woman show (although i secretly believe she may have cloned herself or is a triplet because of the gobsmacking amount of work she accomplishes).

Sarah sustainably harvests, infuses, blends, + soulfully crafts her stunning skin care products. She also sources materials, packages, ships, markets on social media like a ROCK STAR, + when possible, is a vendor at local markets. She often collaborates with local small businesses, and is one of the most generous and genuinely supportive humans i've ever encountered - not just to me personally ... but to all in her community.

opening an order from one of my brilliant suppliers is often like Christmas morning.

first, the wonderful fragrance that rushes forth to greet the nose like somehow the box magically contains SPRING
but the scent is emanating from the bottom layer ... yet to be revealed
what the eye first encounters is the top layer

Valentine’s Day gift packages will be shared soon. But in the interim I wanted to share a VDay creation I have been working on.
Handcrafted out of found birch bark, repurposed fabric scraps, paper, string, a sprinkling of imagination + a whole lotta love.

The final ‘page’ of the book is a pocket … so you can include your own love letter to your beloved … whoever he, she, they, them may be.

‘little book of love’ can be added to a gift box or, to my way of thinking, they make a pretty sweet little gift on their own.

on the couch with the journey of a good book within my grasp
or simply lying on the living room floor basking in the morning sun
perhaps i am taking my cue from the winter landscape -
hibernating in its glistening blanket of snow.
or perhaps i am finally learning to deep dive & honour the needs of my being.
whatever the reason ... it feels right - like a sweet sigh of letting go ... like a soft, gentle landing.

we are all contending with so much right now
carrying much weight upon our shoulders & uncertainty upon our brows

so today, on this truly SUNnyDAY
i send us all a warm whisper of a love letter ...
i wish us all sweet pockets of [ quiet & s l o w ]
wee nooks of delicious hibernation.
may we all take care of ourselves & eachother
