As a lot of you know it’s been an exhausting few years for me. My mental health has not been great and has interfered with so much of my business that I’ve been contemplating shutting down. I know a lot of the time I’m a great business owner but sometimes I’m the worst due to lack of communication and follow thru because of my mental health.

I’ve always done my best to be kind and never lash out at anyone who has sent me a not so nice email. I’ve done the very best I could.

With this past November and getting that infection I was beyond furious. It was just another freaking set back. And while I am still unsure about my business and where it’s heading, I got this message from one of my very best customers, supports and a person I am blessed to call a friend!

I was unable to get good photos of my advent as I needed to get it out of the door. I was very unsure of it. I kept doubting myself. But this comment makes me feel so good about the hard work I put in.

I know most of us are our own worst critics. However I tend to beat myself up. I pick apart every aspect of my life wishing I could have been a better daughter, sister, aunt, mom, and friend. Wishing I had something more to show. Feeling like a constant failure. Struggling to find a job and feeling like I’m a disappointment not only to myself but my son.

But tonight… there was just a sliver of light in the very dark tunnel I currently live. And this comment made me feel over joyed. So thank you K. I am beyond thankful for your support and friendship!

🥖 Mini club 3 & 4 (November and December) are all packed and scheduled for pick up for tomorrow.
🥖 Regular orders will be packed tomorrow and shipped Monday. Labels were bought about an hour ago.

🥖 Why am I showing you the inside of my laptop? Because after 3 months, I was able to get the back off and fix it. And for that I am super thankful! The charging port was loose and that means I didn’t have to spend any money except on a screwdriver because Apple sucks and wouldn’t let me borrow one for 5 mins to fix it because they were soooooo busy. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Mini club 3 and 4 are shipping tomorrow. They were supposed to ship today however I had a raging headache yesterday and just couldn’t finish packing.

There will not be new tracking numbers. So if you have a tracking number for the 3rd month which was the November shipment, I’ll be using that. If you aren’t sure, just shoot me a message and I will send it to you.

I am sitting here jamming to music and packing. I am absolutely in love with these colors!!! And I think you will be too.

Good morning! Good morning!! I’m up early finishing the extras for the mini club orders going out tomorrow. I only had 8 left to make but my hands were KILLING me!

I’m still very much on schedule for catching up. Once I’m done with the extras, I’ll be off to cutting more labels and then to finish twisting some yarn before labeling and packing.

First, I hope everyone had a great holiday!! Ours was nice. Kept it simple and small. Made a whole chicken, stuffing, broccoli, and baked mac and cheese.

I also made a star spinach dip bread but accidentally burnt it when heating it up the next day so I cubed it and used it to dip into more spinach dip. Haha and then I made cinnamon rolls. :)

Quick update - I will be sending out an email tomorrow with all the details but for those who follow I wanted to do a quick update.

Personal Update: I have been discharged from my home nurse. No more wound vac or crazy bandages. Just a cream and regular bandaids. I still can’t wear a bra. I still get sure sore and tender. But definitely better! I’m super itchy so I know it’s healing. ♥️

It’s 1:30am and I can not sleep. I took some pain meds as I did entirely way too much today! I definitely pushed myself too hard between cleaning, cooking, yarn business and ordering, organizing and I don’t even know what else.

But I eventually sat down and enjoyed the tree my son and his girlfriend put up this past weekend.

Appliance technician came out to look at my dishwasher to assess the damage from my fat behind falling on it. We are starting with the hinge replacement which is gonna cost me about $160 and hopefully all is well. However if I have to replace the inside panel I am then looking at about $350… 😭😭😭 I fell right on that red circle. Talk about bullseye!

If anyone is interested in buying me a “coffee” to help with the cost of this dishwasher repair, I would greatly appreciate that “coffee”. I have link in my bio for that. 😁😁😳😳😍😍 — I figure it doesn’t hurt to ask.

I’ll be sending out an email today (Thursday) later this evening about my mini club schedule to get back on track. I did have to order more yarn because I got nothing left for the mini club. I’m all out. Well not really but also really. I only have a handful left. A literal handful 🤣🤣🤣 But my plan is to be completely caught up at Jan 12th. And that’s with giving me some time so I don’t overdo it.

And last… a beautiful photo of my sourdough before going into the fridge. I love sourdough!! I’ve been dehydrating to send to friends and this loaf is from my dehydrated starter, after I tested the process of bringing it back to life. 😍😍

Good morning!!

I have a few things to get done this morning. But after that I’m gonna chill out work on getting these advents packed up. I still have a few minis that need to get out in bags and numbered but after that it’s boxing time!!!

Once the advents are done I’ll work on the mini club and regular orders! I truly appreciate everyone’s love, patience, and understanding.

I’m doing okay. The pain meds and antibiotics are messing with my stomach. I’m definitely sore but my wounds are healing up nicely. Only 2 are covered by the wound vac now. The other one is still closing but it’s pretty much completely closed and just covered by a bandaid.

I am struggling mentally. And I am taking my meds. Not being able to find a job was killing me and now my job search has to come to a pause because of this. And now I can’t do all the cleaning and stuff I use to on a daily basis that I’m struggling with feeling useful.

I have this “I’m a failure” mentality because I don’t live up to what society says I should have as a 35 year old woman but also on a personal level with things that have been said to me as a child. And now that I struggle with the day to day I feel even worse. But I’m working through it. One day at a time ♥️♥️

Ive been home since Tuesday night and it’s been a little bit of an adjustment.

I love being home in my own bed and with my own blankets and all. It feels good. I am sleeping okay for the most part. It’s definitely some trial and error to figure out which way is best to get comfortable.

I spent two days cleaning. I had to. I couldn’t stand the mess. And it really wasn’t a mess but to my standards it was. And cleaning is one thing in my life I can control and right now when I feel like I don’t have control over anything, it’s what I needed.

I had my first wound vac change yesterday. That went okay for the most part. I am having a little issue with air getting in. I know where it’s coming from, I just haven’t quite figured out how to stop it permanently. It’s odd because it’s with the tube and just annoying.

I will get my wound vac changed three times a week. I wish it wasn’t that much. I get it, but that’s annoying! My skin is super irritated. It’s not happy. Estimated that I’ll be wearing this for 4 weeks. So yay me! I get why I need this but stitches would have been cool!

The pain meds I was given I am saving for days I get my wound vac changed and days where the pain is so bad because they didn’t give me enough. And Tylenol is okay. Definitely could have used something stronger for the day to day than over the counter crap.

Otherwise all is well. I’m trying to just chill and rest a bit. Get some much needed sleep. And that’s all really. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Got my wound vac, Tylenol, and knitting. I’m relaxing for the rest of the day!

Leaving the hospital was a disaster. They forgot my wound vac and it took 3 hours to get it and the paperwork I had to sign for it. I wasn’t able to get my meds last night. It was just horrible.

Jaiden and I walked to Walgreens this morning (it’s around the corner) to get my meds. (Should I have walked? IDK, but the fresh air felt so good) Walgreens is stupid BTW. They don’t fill things you can buy over the counter. I have it go through the insurance because I am broke and my insurance will pay for it thank you!!! Anyways… I came back home and went back to sleep.

I got up and made my bed, that was a challenge. I cleaned up my dresser. Went through all the mail. Got everything unpacked and away. Got changed. And now I’m chilling in bed.

Jaiden’s gonna help with dinner so that will be great. I’ll do the seasoning and rice and he’s gonna cook the wings.

It’s nice to be home. I’m gonna take a few days to get comfortable and back on track with my cleaning and just to relax. And then I’ll get back to work and all in a few days.

IM GOING HOME!!!

I finished my last round of IV antibiotics. I got my pain medicine and got my wound vac changed with minimal pain. I just need to get my pick line removed and the wound vac that I’ll be taking home connected.

The wound nurse thinks I’ll have to wear the wound vac for about 4 weeks.

No real update.

I got the wound vac back on last night. Getting it on was nothing but clearly the trauma of getting it off sent me into panic. I did have my nurse come back in and explain things to me a second time because I forgot everything she said the first time around. Haha

I got to see my wounds yesterday. I have 3 open wounds. One is about 4 inches long and it’s pretty much the first layer of skin missing. Another one is about 3 inches long and barely opens but the third is about 3 inches long and pretty deep!

I’m still waiting to see the doctor. Today is his first day back and he’s been making rounds to all the patients. I’ve been told he’s very thorough and takes his time but I won’t lie, I’m growing impatient. I’ve been here 9 days and I want to know what the plan is!

I do have a migraine. I’ve been laying here in the dark for about two hours and have had ice on my ice for about an hour.

I got to shower this morning and wash my hair. That felt great!

I got a bit done on Jaiden’s socks. He’s happy about that. I stared where the waffle stitch marker is. I wanna do more but my head is killing me. My arm is no longer swollen. Still a little tender in some spots but it feels like the clot has went away.

I’m so ready to get home and get back to work! I miss dyeing!
