Just don’t know what to do? What’s the best choice? Which way should you go?
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
- James 1:5
James revealed to us in verses 2-4 that our life is about cultivating a deeper trust in God as trials come our way. In fact, those trials are exactly what we need in order to learn to trust God more.
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” - James 1:2-4 NIV
In James 1:5 context, he is speaking of wisdom for a particular moment. This is a reference to those times when we just don't know what to do. What's the best choice? Which way should we go? How do we decide between two different paths? Those who truly trust God will ask Him for wisdom. Asking God for wisdom is evidence that we trust Him.
God gives wisdom generously. He's not stingy in providing insight to those who ask how to make the best choices. In fact, God gives wisdom away without "reproach" or finding fault. In other words, He doesn't look at all of our previous foolish choices and decide we are not worthy of receiving wisdom from Him. What an amazing promise!
The God of the universe stands by ready and willing to give abundant wisdom to those who ask based only on their trust and confidence in Him, not on their track record.

Gaya ng negosyo na hindi laging pasko, sa marriage hindi din palaging maligaya.
May mga times na malungkot, may mga times ng pagtatalo at mga tampuhan.
Pero sabi nga nila, love is more than a feeling. Love is a commitment.
Araw-araw, pinagdedesisyonan nating mahalin ang isat-isa.
It is an intentional and a conscious decision to love each other for better or for worse.
Paano nga ba natin magagawang magmahal sa kabila ng hindi kamahal mahal na sitwasyon?
Tayo’y umiibig sapagkat ang Diyos ang umibig sa atin. - 1 John 4:19
Alalahanin lang natin na sobrang mahal tayo ng Lord kahit anumang mangyari at kahit madalas hindi din tayo kamahal mahal. At mula doon ay kaya na nating magmahal anumang sitwasyon.

Our personal sacrifices and hard work are all worth it.
Just like some of you, my friends, we were not born with silver spoon. There were times that I had to brave myself going to our University with a lone fare money on hand and the rest was just God’s mercy for me to be able to come back home. Despite all, I have graduated in college and was hired in one of the top IT company.
Every money that I’ve been earning is the result of my dedication to work, sleepless nights and a lot of sacrifices.
I have also struggled managing my finances during my early years in employment. Thankfully, I realized later on that the money being waisted is also the energy and time of my life being spent away. Although I’m continuously learning about this matter, I’ve been valuing my hard earned money just like I’ve been valuing myself. I am taking care of our household income as much as I am taking care of my self and family.
That is all because I want my family especially my children to have a better life in the future.
Every mom, like me, probably has that dream for their children and family too.
And by God’s grace, that would be me and my husband’s greatest achievement as parents.
Thus, it has become an advocacy for me for more than a decade now to help one family at a time be insured and help them secure their children’s future education. In my opinion, we can only realize that when we value our hard earned money by spending it wisely and setting aside a portion of it to invest it for future purposes.
Today, it’s my joy sharing this photo of myself and an OFW mom client of mine who I happened to bump into when I was in the queue in the supermarket’s cashier and who I had a convo with over a coffee last weekend. She’s our churchmate in Dubai, coincidentally, on vacation here in PH after 7 years as well just like my sister.
Believing that it was not an accident that we met, I was able to share to her about valuing our hard earned money and securing the future of herself and her family. After all her hard work being an OFW, I am happy that she has also committed to start securing her children’s future education and trusted me to help her to realize it. Indeed, our little sacrifices today would do us good in the future!
What an amazing god-given mission for me!
I’ll always be grateful for it.

Napaka-challenging magbudget especially sa mga nagsisimulang pamilya, pero we have to be intentional when it comes to protecting the future of our loved ones.
When the time comes, we will be thankful that we endured and we sacrificed other things just to give them a worry-free future.
So here we are, paying our family’s Sun Life Grepa’s insurance policies as well as servicing my dear clients. 🤗
