Here is a snippet of one of our GCSE Chemistry lessons on Electrolysis & Forming Half-Equations.

We discussed the electrolysis process of Sodium Chloride (NaCl) solution and looked at how the oxidation and reduction of ionic substances occur at the electrodes. We also learnt how to write half-equations which shows what happens each electrode during electrolysis. 🧪🌡

All GCSE Science classes are taught by qualified science teachers, both in 1:1 and small group settings.

Here is a snippet of one of our KS3 Chemistry lessons on ‘Acids & Alkalis’. We learnt about different solutions’ concentrations and how to calculate this using ratio calculations. ✏️

We also looked at differentiating between corrosive/ laboratory acids like hydrochloric acid and ‘everyday’ acids like citric acid in oranges and ethanoic acid used in vinegar.
Next we will be looking at the pH scale, universal indicator and neutralisation reactions! 🧪🌡

Our Half Term Maths workshop was super fun earlier this week where all our students worked through a story scenario together!

Students worked as a group and used a range of skills to work through the problems. By the end of the session, they became extremely confident at working through multi-step worded problems! Well done! 🤩👏

Sharing a snippet of today’s online KS3 Maths lesson with our amazing Year 7 students on ‘Solving Algebraic Equations’. 🤓

Our students worked through each question step-by-step as illustrated by applying their prior mathematical knowledge and skills needed to solve each problem.

A mathematical day today with our amazing Year 8 students. 🤩

Our students worked through various practice questions on Surface Area of Cones & Spheres. We looked at different types of questions such as calculating the surface area of the 3D shape or rearranging the relevant equation to find the missing radius. 📏📐

Our students worked through each question step- by- step as illustrated to ensure that they apply their mathematical knowledge and skills to solve each problem. 📝

Today, we had our first 11+ Easter workshop on Maths focusing on Money Measurement and Problem Solving. The session was to help students recognise the importance of unit conversions, measurement and comparisons in real life scenarios. 📝

Our amazing students learnt how to calculate and compare the value of different products when looking for the ‘Best Buy’ in different shops or sales. 💵🪙

🔹In our KS1 reading lessons we work with students to help them blend sounds, pronounce and progressively read different types of story books fluently and accurately.

🔹We also use questioning to encourage students to re-tell the passage and participate in regular discussions about story concepts to link what they have read to their own life experiences. This helps our students to explore a range of characters and identify new language. 🔍⭐️

✨Announcing our NEW 11+ Maths, English and Non-verbal-Verbal Reasoning Online Group Classes!✨

🔵The sessions will be structured and planned out with plenty of room for adaptations to suit every child’s needs.
🔵Our lessons will be planned on a weekly basis so that we can focus and plan activities on specific areas of improvement for each and every student in our small groups. During the sessions, areas of strengths and improvements of all students will be observed and noted, at the end of which we will carry out assessment for learning.

🔸Our English lessons will focus on comprehension skills and SPaG enhancement where students will be able to:
• Read the text and have a sense of the purpose of the text
• Know what most of the words mean and how they help become the text more effective
• Be a detective- students will be taught how to show understanding of inference of texts
• Develop grammar, punctuation and spelling.

🔸Our Maths lessons will consist of topic-wise lessons that will enhance your child’s understanding of mathematical concepts.
