The NeuroKidz
Bringing neuroscience through STEAM to underrepresented groups
Based in San Jose, California
We are proud to announce that we have started a wonderful collaboration with Women in Neuroscience Nigeria and Youth Neuroscience Association of Nigeria to bring neuroscience and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) to more children around the world! We look forward to this fruitful collaboration for many years to come! Visit WIN Nigeria at https://www.winng.org.ng/ to learn more about their work.
Today, February 7th is the last day of Children’s Mental Health Week. We strive to not bring awareness to children’s mental health for just one week, but for the years to come. Advocate for children’s mental health especially during these difficult times with us.
Today on World Mental Health Day 2020, it is our responsibility to start from this moment forward to provide compassion, not stigma, to individuals with mental illness.
That’s a lot of blood for the brain!
Another meditating Pusheen! Meditation can be hard to do for long periods of time, but even 5 minutes a day can do wonders for your brain! It’s great to do with the whole family during shelter-in-place. If you are having trouble, try using a guided audio!
While we are in quarantine, let’s work out not only for physical health, but also for our mental health and healthy functioning of our brains!
Next time you think of anything or move any part of your body, appreciate how fast your neurons fire to help you do those things.
As many of us are in quarantine during these stressful times, it is important to keep calm and keep our brains healthy. One way to do this is through meditation! Even 10 minutes of meditation every day helps increase gray matter in the brain and increases your memory!

Hello Everyone! I hope you all have had a lovely week.
In the midst of the coronavirus, we need your help to support our doctors and hospitals. In the fight against the coronavirus, doctors and nurses are most susceptible to being infected. They are in need of personal protective equipment, ventilators, and more. Your support is urgently needed to enable them to continue their quick response efforts so that we can save as many lives as possible. Our goal is to reach $5000, all which are equally distributed to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (Santa Clara, CA) and Mt. Sinai Hospital (NYC, NY) in the epicenter of the U.S's coronavirus crisis.
More information and how to support this cause is in the link below:
