This Day Oct 16th 1995 changed my life forever. I was 16 years of age and with the permission of my parents was allowed to miss school to attend this historical event called The Million Man March.My cousin Mike and my brother Hakeem and I walked from 34th street to the National Mall Grounds. We was Amongst One Million proud black men, who came together and it was nothing but peace and love. We showed the world what heaven on Earth looked like. After this event I made it my business to purchase The Message To The Blackman written by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. That book made me understand black people were more than what the News and Media presented us to be. I later read countless books such The Mis-Education of Negro by Carter G Woodson and other great Melanated Scholars of the planet. This day Oct 16th 1995 showed our true nature of righteousness and divine peace. May we use this day as motivational launch pad of peace, love and unity. The ancestors were definitely amongst that day!!! ASE’
