Since I’m in a bit of a posting slump, I thought I’d take some time to reintroduce myself 💕.
-I’m Alyce and most people think my names Alice on first glance but it’s pronounced “uh-lease”. Raise your hand if you’re part of the “always getting called the wrong name club”.🙋🏼♀️
-Teaching reading is my favorite. I love sharing new books with students.
-I have 2 daughters that are the absolute loves of my life (besides their dad of course).
-I am a cold brew addict after not liking coffee the majority of my adult life.
-I am always down for a cold Diet Coke.
-Team salty over sweet.
-I am easily sucked into reality TV shows. Give me all the trashy TV.

Do you use Zones of Regulation to teach students how to manage their feelings? Here is an easy lesson idea for you:
After explicitly teaching about each zone:
1. Read or listen to the story "The Way I feel" and identify the different zones each character is feeling
2. Write down strategies for coping when in each zone

Are your students struggling with picking a writing topic?
Make a chart with ideas. If they are stuck, they can go to the chart and pick a post-it. Topics can continually be added as ideas arise!

Introduce yourself to students with a fun math all about me activity. (Thanks for the idea )
My team teacher and I are both going to share our facts, then have the kids compare and contrast how we are alike and different. Last, students will make their own math all about me to display in our room!
