…take me back to those tropical blue hues🏝️
i always return to the ~tropics~ with a renewed obsession for warm weather, palm trees & salt water🌞🩵🐚🌺

the incredible colors, shapes & patterns found at Dauphin Island✨
I grew up going to this little barrier island right off the coast of Alabama but this was my first time seeing it from above. It’s crazy how much the landscape seems to change when you experience it from a birds eye view! All of the once unnoticed details of the island come together & turn into what i like to call earth art😍

I’ve got a thing for springs🩵
…really though, hot or cold, if the water is blue then I’m there.
& luckily got a chance to experience both this summer! The Saturnia hot springs in Italy (pictured above) & one of the many cold springs in Florida💧
I don’t talk about it much here but i actually have a degree in geological engineering so it’s safe to say i find these natural wonders superr interesting:)
The geology of hot springs vs cold springs:
Hot Springs: nature’s jacuzzis:) These are usually near tectonic plate boundaries & in volcanic areas, where the Earth's crust is thinner & heat can easily escape. This water travels deep underground through Earth's layers & is heated by geothermal activity or even molten magma resulting in that warm, mineral-rich water🌋
Cold Springs: These form near aquifers, which are basically underground water filtration systems made of bedrock that are fed by rainwater or melted snow. They’re not heated by any geothermal activity sources so it's that always that crisp & refreshingly cool water❄️ Cold springs are usually found in regions with extensive aquifers, like Florida.
Did you know these differences between hot & cold springs? Tell us where your favorite natural springs are in the comments🫶🏼

TRAVEL ESSENTIALS AESTHETIC🧳✈️✨
just added to the list…
☆ the travel-friendly toothbrush
Something you guys may not know about me is how seriously i take my oral health🤌🏼 My close friends + family know how much i put into keeping my smile as white as can be & making sure i stick to my routine even while traveling.
Well, I’ve finally found the perfect toothbrush to add to my morning + nightly ritual that looks as good as it feels. Its sleek, has a built in timer with 2 cleaning modes & even comes in my fav color (+ many other fun colors). I especially love that it comes with it’s very own travel case & USB charger (aka no need to worry with replacing batteries anymore!).
If you’re in the market or just want an upgrade, be sure to check Aquasonic out for yourself! Will add a link to stories for you🩵

Welcome to PALM BEACH🌴 another iconic Florida destination, where laid-back beach vibes meet timeless luxury✨
This veryyy charming city is located right along Florida's southeastern coast, about 1.5 hrs north of Miami. Here’s what an ideal day in Palm Beach looks like:
🐚BRUNCH AT THE COLONY HOTEL
This famous pink hotel looks more like a Barbie dream house. The interior design is both tropical & chic & a must-see. There are a few bars/cafes on the property but Swifty's is the main dining attraction. You can eat a delish meal inside or outside right by the pool, either way this hotel is the ultimate ~palm beach aesthetic~
🐚STROLL DOWN WORTH AVE
Have yourself a shopping adventure along Worth Avenue, Palm Beach's iconic shopping district. Explore high-end boutiques & galleries, where every window display is a work of art. Don't forget to get lost in the winding alleys along the way too!
🐚DINNER + DRINKS AT THE BREAKERS
This historic hotel has tons of restaurants & shopping throughout. It's worth making the trip to dine & explore even if you are staying elsewhere. They have a unique "Seafood Bar" right near the beachfront that features an aquarium as the bar top. Definitely a cool spot to have a few cocktails & dinner!
🐚Other things to experience:
-The beach (duh!)
-Worth Avenue Clocktower for a nice photo op
-RH Rooftop Restaurant (in West Palm)
-It’s honestly so fun just to stroll around & take in the scenery & architecture around the island
You can fly directly into Palm Beach (PBI) or take the from multiple locations across Florida to make it a day/weekend trip!
Be sure to save this post for your next Florida getaway🩷

Postcards from Positano🍋: Here’s how to spend even the rainiest of days in this charming coastal town⬇️
SHOP: this town is basically shopping heaven. If arriving by car, start at the top of the hill on via Cristoforo Colombo & wind your way down through endless shops with amazing local pottery, ceramics & (so. much.) linen apparel. One of my fav shops is Antica Sartoria, beautiful colors & very affordable too.
EAT: Casa e Bottega. This restaurant is farm to table vibe & highly popular because its just THAT good. Come by before you’re too hungry & put your name on the list, it’s worth the wait! Must try: Cucumber Spritz🥒!!
DRINK: After shopping & eating through the rainy day weather there’s only one thing left to do. We sat down at Blu Bar (located right on the beach) for some cocktails while we waited out the worst of the rain. Very friendly staff, good drinks & it has great beach views too🌊
Rain or shine, Positano is one of the prettiest places to visit on the Amalfi Coast & I highly recommend at leastt one full day to properly explore!
Have you visited Positano before? What was your favorite spot?

free to ROME🗺️
& i’d easily roam right back to Roma. so exciting to finally check this iconic italian landmark off the bucket list! i’m thinking it deserves a permanent spot on my feed🫶🏼
we went to see the Trevi Fountain earlyyy in the AM so we could avoid the major crowds..10/10 was worth it. i’d say arriving between 6-8 AM will have the least amount of people & best lighting for pics!
Have you visited Rome before?! What was your favorite part?

3 things you probably didn’t know about the tiny, colorful island of Burano, Italy👇🏼
:
:
:
Here are a few of the origins of this vibrant Venice gem🎨🌈:
𓇼 Colorful Charm: The houses in Burano are painted in brightest of colors. It's said that fishermen painted their homes like this so they could easily spot them through the foggy lagoon. Each street is like its own colorful landmark!
𓇼 Lace-Making Magic: For centuries, the people of Burano have been known for their lace-making skills. It all started when fishermen's wives began making delicate lace from fishnets. Today, you can still see talented artisans creating beautiful lace all by hand.
𓇼 The Leaning Tower of Burano: This island has its own leaning bell tower, just like the veryy famous one in Pisa. It’s believed to have started leaning due to the soft, marshy soil and it’s unstable wooden foundation. Who knows! ..but this definitely adds a unique charm to the island's already picturesque vibe.
I do recommend coming to the island via the waterbus so you can make a full day of it! There are plenty of restaurants, shops & scenic streets to wander✨
Have you visited this colorful island off the coast of Venice before?!

5 things you need to know before visiting the Saturnia hot springs, Cascate del Mulino👇🏼
:
:
:
1. It's completely free. This is great for budget travelers & adventurers but also crowds, so come early if you prefer to have it more to yourself!
2. It can be painful to walk around in... the bottom is made up of round rocks that don't feel great on your feet. i'd recommend bringing water sandals/shoes if you have sensitive feet.
3. Don't wear jewelry you care about! the sulfuric water will instantly tarnish your silver & it seemed to dull my gold jewelry as well so best not to wear them in at all to be safe. however, the tarnish/dullness wore off after about a week.
4. There are tiny red worms in the water... so yeah…but don't worry, they are completely harmless. This might turn some people off but locals & travelers have been coming here for years without issue & i was glad i read that it was okay before seeing them in the water. i still think its worth getting in & experiencing the spa-like vibes:)
5. Depending on when you visit, it may have a strong sulfur smell (for those with a keen sense of smell). I personally only smelled it when closest to the main waterfall area & didn't smell anything the rest of the time!
These hot springs are beautiful, unique, & warm enough to enjoy year-round (~100°F). So, no matter when you take your trip to Italy you can definitely visit the charming town of Saturnia & explore this Tuscan gem!
Would you swim in the Saturnia hot springs now that you know more about it?!

never stop chasing waterfalls💧

I still dont think I’ve fully processed how beautiful Costa Rica was. So much lush, natural beauty & endless adventure + culture to experience.
We found this gem in📍Bajos del Toro. It’s a very small town in the mountains of Alajuela province & if you ask us, it’s one of the must-visit destinations in Costa Rica. You could easily spend an entire week exploring some of the best waterfalls in the country with very little crowds.
Personally, i loveee visiting the smaller, underrated spots the best even if it means less options for dining & shopping. There's something special about having the surrounding nature all to yourself that makes it that much more magical.

5. Delicious food: Nubian cuisine is 🔥🔥our local meal was made with mostly beans, rice, lentils, vegetables, & grilled meats. One of the best meals on the trip!!
6. Stunning scenery: The Nubian villages in Aswan are set against the Nile River & desert mountains/sand dunes makes for unforgettable views

What inspires you? For me it has always been nature.. it can be a simple photo or video of nature but actually being out in nature... there’s nothing better!
Feeling lucky to currently live somewhere with endless tropical inspiration✨
It’s the painted sunset skies, palm fronds, colorful plants, the waves right before they break, the shells in the sand.. these small moments are forever fueling this deep love for the tropics.

BEST TRAVEL TIP: always make friends with the locals🐪🇪🇬
:
:
:
Day one was for the camels. We were in awe of them.. they’re tall, sweet and will take a bite out of your hat if you get close enough😂
But really, getting to meet all of the locals throughout our time in Egypt made this trip one of my favorites of all! We danced & sang with locals in the Nubian villages & on the banks of the Nile River & even traveled with a group of Beduins into the
middle of the desert to camp under the stars..
We met some incredible people along the way including our phenomenal guides who stayed with us throughout the trip💛
Do you make an effort to connect with locals during your travels? If not I definitely recommend trying.. you can truly make the most of the trip when you do + they may just let you in on some tried & true tips only a local would know!

Take us back to Karnak✨

Pro tip: visiting this temple during golden hour made for the dreamiest photos🫠
Karnak was one of the most beautiful temples we visited, with it’s 134 intricately carved columns reaching towards the sky.
Karnak is also considered to be the largest ancient religious sites in the world. Definitely a must-see while in Luxor!

& I like it🙃 i meannn, how can we not be excited for long flights when it means we get to experience somewhere completely new?
Every time i book a trip, i try to make it some place further away & further outside of my comfort zone.. in the hope of making it to allll the spots on my travel bucket list, no matter how far or who’s willing to join.
Here’s my outlook: Don’t put anything off. If there’s something you want to see, do, experience, DO IT. Life is way too short to put off the things we truly want in life!
Who’s ready for a look into EGYPT?! Stay tuned🐪🇪🇬𓂀
