Rio Agrio Waterfall meaning "Sour Water" the water orginates from the volcano and according to the locals they claim to believe it has healing powers. It's a guaranteed hidden gem and best kept secret. It's located in the beautiful area of Bajos Del Toro cloud Forest. This is about 1.5 hours from San Jose good for a day trip. It's a powerful waterfall surrounded by surreal rocks, the water is sour and full of minerals from the volcano. This is the perfect waterfall hike for those not keen to hiking, its about only a couple miles long 1.5km. No swimming is allowed but you can dip your feet in the water. This place is perfect for those seeking to travel like a local.
