I am a culture vulture! I'do love to explore historical sites, immerse myself in local customs, and marvel at architectural wonders.
With that in mind, here are some dream destinations that might tantalize my taste buds:
1. Rome, Italy - Explore the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Pantheon, and indulge in delicious Italian cuisine.
2. Tokyo, Japan - Discover the Meiji Shrine, Tokyo Tower, and ancient temples, and experience the vibrant city's unique blend of traditional and modern culture.
3. New Orleans, Louisiana, USA - Wander through the French Quarter, visit the National WWII Museum, and soak up the jazz and Cajun culture.
4. Marrakech, Morocco - Get lost in the medina, explore the Bahia Palace, and immerse yourself in the colorful souks and bustling markets.
5. Barcelona, Spain - Stroll along La Rambla, visit the Sagrada Familia, and soak up the works of Gaudí and Dalí.
These cities offer a mix of history, culture, and architecture that's sure to fascinate and inspire me!

Warri, Uvwie, shine at night with street- lights by governor Oborevwori
Warri, Uvwie, shine at night with street- lights by governor Oborevwori
Residents of parts of the twin cities of Warri,Uvwie have been excited with the brightness at night occasioned by the street lights installed by the government of governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
Traders around the motor park at the PTI junction leading to Eku,Abraka told the Vanguard that they were no longer in a hurry to close shop at night because the area now shines like day time.
Vanguard gathered that travellers heading to short distance routes like Oka junction, Orerokpe, headquarters of Okpe local government area and even sometimes as far as Eku, which is barely thirty five minutes drive and an access community to the Delta state university, Abraka in Ethiope East local government area find commercial vehicles at 10pm at the park.
Before the place was illuminated with street lights some bread vendors said by 7pm they had shut down for the day. ” But now you come to this park even by 9pm you still see some of us selling. “
Vanguard gathered that commercial s*x workers in some of the brothels around the hood have also started extending their hustling for clients to the park area at night.
” Sometimes you see some some girls from brothels around in skimpy dresses coming to divert some travellers to their areas for short time services. They use the advantage of the brightness to show up their looks. Business is for all with the night light “, a trader who hawks Xmas decorations said.
The narrative is similar around the popular Effurun roundabout. A trader who sells fairly used jean trousers and tracksuits around the roundabout said the light has eliminated activities of phone thieves at night. ” We no longer hear cries of thieves o, thieves o , from passengers waiting for Keke at night “.
The trader who simply identified himself as Anayo said the brightness has also added value to petty traders and his own business. ” Most of my customers now prefer to come at night. They feel comfortable coming to pick their jeans and tracksuits from 8pm. I stay here till about 10 pm selling . Business is booming at night with the street lights on “.
Vanguard’s check shows that the street lights at the time of this report stretched from Effurun roundabout to Urhobo college portion of the Warri -Sapele road , then from Deco road junction on the Warri Sapele road to close to a spot around what was known as Leventis for those who grew up in the old Warri. And some parts of the NPA byepass and so on.

EKENGBUDA FELICITATES OBOREVWORI ON MULTIPLE APPEAL COURT VICTORY
A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Hon Ekengbuda Toju Robinson, has felicitated the State Governor, Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, on his triple victory over Senator Ovie Omo-Agege of the APC, Chief Kenneth Gbagi of SDP and Ken Pela of the Labour Party, at the Court of Appeal.
Hon Ekengbuda, who is the Special Assistant to the State Commissioner for Trade and Investment, said the victory did not come as a surprise because Oborevwori had a divine anointing to govern the state at this time in history and anymore seeking to unseat him was only challenging the will of God.
He said Deltans had also loudly spoken with their votes for the Governor in the March 18 election, stressing that "the voice of the people is the voice of God", which Omo-Agege and others challenging the Governor's election failed to accept.
Hon Ekengbuda commended the judiciary, especially the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal and the Court of Appeal for their rulings which reflected the will of God and the greater majority of Deltans, saying that the confidence of the people in the judiciary had significantly increased with the landmark judgements.
The SA said Governor Oborevwori had so far demonstrated that he had no time to waste in his quest to take the state to enviable heights and needed all the support, even from the opposition, to achieve set goals.
He, therefore, urged Omo-Agege, Kenneth Gbagi and Ken Pela to stop further litigations, which he described as a waste of time and resources, and join hands with Governor Oborevwori to improve the lot of Deltans.

Excitement in Ogunu as Oborevwori moves to fix roads
Excitement in Ogunu as Oborevwori moves to fix roads
*We have never had it this good – community
The ongoing construction of major roads in Ogunu community in Warri South local government area has elicited praises and outpouring of gratitude from the community leaders.
The roads under construction include Agogo layout, known as Gbonwei street, which was completed in record time; the main road into the community, running from Ogunu bridge to Shell gate and a spur to the river. Others are the secretariat road, leading to the Catholic church and other adjoining roads.
Prince Hope Eshareghara, the chairman of Ogunu community said the governor has brought joy to the residents, pointing out that until the intervention, the people were subjected to untold hardship.
“The construction of roads in the community is a huge and good development that will bring a face lift to the entire community. For decades the community had cried out because of the complete dilapidation of all roads. I commend His Excellency, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for remembering us and alleviating the sufferings of the people”.
The Oghwo-Uvwie (Youth leader) of the community, Mr Stanley Owhere, also expressed joy over the project, saying that; “When we heard of the project in the community, we thought it was a rumour. But to God be the glory, almost all the roads in Ogunu are under construction, most of them completed, including the Agogo Layout, Secretariat road, Catholic road and others. During the 2023 guber elections, we prayed for not just an Urhobo Governor, but a Governor who is a Warri boy, who will listen to our plight. Governor Sheriff has proven to be a promise keeper and a true Warri boy”.
Also, the immediate past chairman of the community, who is a former councillor representing Ogunu/Ekurede-Urhobo ward, Hon. Ese Gift Ededuwa, who was visibly excited, said that; “ Ogunu has never had this magnitude of Government attention in form of infrastructural development. The roads were so deplorable in the past, thereby negating social and economic lives of the people of the community. Though, part of the contract was approved in the last administration, I commend His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for the funding of the project.
“During the electioneering campaigns, he promised to do more. He has kept to his promise. The entire community is grateful for this massive work. May God bless the governor”.
In the same vein, Chief Ejiro Ofuya, a former chairman of Ogunu community and a member of the Ogunu council of chiefs, expressed joy over the project in the community and urged the governor to continue the good work and extend same to all parts of the state.
Also, the Unuovwodo (the representative of the King) in the community, Chief Sylvester Udin, gave kudos to the governor for his continuation and funding of projects initiated by his predecessor, His Excellency, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa. He said most governments in the past, abandoned projects initiated by previous administrations,, but commended Governor Oborevwori, for the face lift of the community and his total commitment towards the development of the Warri axis and the entire state.
DTSG PROPOSES DELTA INVESTMENT SUMMIT,TASKS DACCIMA ON COOPERATION
In a bid to further achieve the MORE Agenda Mantra of the present administration,Delta State Government has proposed a summit tagged 'Delta Investment Summit' to foster trade and investment opportunities for Deltans.
The Delta State Commissioner for Trade and Investment,Hon Samuel Oligida stated this in Asaba during a courtesy call in his office by the members of the Delta Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (DACCIMA).
According to the commissioner, the ministry is doing and is eager to do more to achieve greater heights in the trade and investment industries as he tasked DACCIMA on cooperation.
Speaking during the visit, Oligida explained that efforts were been made to remodelled the Osubi Trade Fair Complex to international standard so as to attract more patronage.
"It is true that we have Osubi Trade Fair Complex, which to me I believe is not up to the standard of the state where people can come and display their wares and that is the only one we have in the state for now".
"It is based on that we are proposing the remodeling of that trade fair complex, we are waiting for the final conclusion to get the governor's approval so that we can remodelled that trade fair to international standard", Oligida said.
He promised to forward the group's invitation and its financial implications towards the hosting of the association's national body to the governor,Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for approval.
He also asserted that the present administration had set up workable machinery to find a lasting solution to the menace of 'double taxation' across the state as he lamented its implications on business.
On setting up an arbitration centre, the commissioner assured the group of the present administration support as he referred them to the legal department for prompt and positive consideration.
Earlier, the president of the association, Chief Anthony Idigbe, SAN had solicited for the assistance of the state government towards the hosting of its national body, slated for 19th-21st of November,2023 in Asaba.
Represented by Hon Peter Okolie, the group among other things drew the attention of the commissioner on the need to establish an arbitration centre in the state, trades exhibition centres across the state, the need to check double taxation and provision of adequate security.
He used the medium to congratulate Mr Oligida on his appointment and assured him of the association maximum cooperation towards the achievement of the MORE Agenda of the present administration.
