FCCLA Nationals Day 4…
We took a trip down to Pikes Place to visit the original Starbucks, experience the traditional fishing throwing, and see all the goodies that Seattle has to offer. We also took a cruise in the harbor to take all the sights of the city in.
That night we went to FCCLA night at the ballpark to watch the Mariners vs Orioles.
We had a great time in Seattle and it was an experience we will remember. So much to see and do outside of Iowa!
FCCLA Nationals continued…
Day 3: the group started the morning off with Morgan competing in her STAR event, Instructional Video Design. She created a tutorial video on how to knit.
Then the group explored the city, we visited the Seattle Center and did a tour of the Space Needle and Chihuly Gardens.
Four Alburnett FCCLA members qualified for Nationals and were able to travel to Seattle, WA last week.
Day 1: Students left very early Saturday morning to catch their plane. When arriving students attended the Iowa meeting and opening session.
Day 2: Hannah competed in her event, Career Investigation. Where she investigated a career as a pilot, by doing research, job shadows, and interviews. Greely and Landri competed in Focus on Children. For their project they created book bags to encourage 2nd grade students to read outside of the school day to help improve reading scores.
In the afternoon the group explored Chinatown by visiting some stores and trying some new foods.
FCCLA members are working with GW Spice Co. to help raise funds for members to attend Nationals in Seattle this summer.
Each dip package contains enough product to make 7-8 dips (approx. 1 cup each). Dip mixes can also be used for rubs on your favorite grilling items.
If dips aren't your thing, try the taco seasoning or salsa mixes
Reach out to Mrs. Arment or an FCCLA member if you are interested. All orders and money are due April 22.

Good morning,
Just a quick update on the delivery of strawberries from FCCLA members. Unfortunately there will be a delay this year. The strawberry fields received 3 inches of rain last weekend so the growers are delaying the picking/shipping date. Strawberries will now be delivered March 11th or 12th. I realize this is spring break so the FCCLA member that sold to you will be making arrangements on how to handle your order. If you will be out of town this week please let me know and we can help accommodate.
Wednesday is the last day to get your orders in!
