MAYNILA — Dahil hirap pa ring makabili ng paracetamol sa mga botika, marami ang bumabawi na lang sa mga bitamina para may panlaban sa sakit.

Sabi ni Dra. Maricar Limpin ng Philippine College of Physicians, mainam ang regular na pag-inom ng vitamins lalo ngayong tumataas ang mga kaso ng CÖVID-19.

Kaya kahit walang nararamdamang lagnat, ubo o sipon, dapat tadtarin ang katawan ng mga bitamina at tubig.

Sapat na aniya ang 500 mg ng vitamin C kada araw pero puwede itong gawing 1,000 mg kapag may karamdaman na.

Pero nagbabala rin ang doktor sa hindi magandang epekto sa kalusugan ng labis-labis na pag-inom ng vitamin C.

"Para sa adults, ang maximum ay 2000 mg per day, so 'yung dalawang beses sa isang araw hindi pa 'yun ang maximum. Pero pag sumosobra rin ang vitamin C, masakit 'yan sa tiyan," ani Limpin.

Dapat din daw uminom ng nutrient na zinc na nagpapalakas ng resistensiya.

"'Yun 'yung madalas na binibigay namin kasi nakakatulong para maproteksiyunan ang immune system natin. Importante ito habang tayo ay nagpapagaling, sa healing process, importante ang zinc," ani Limpin.

Pati pag-inom ng paracetamol, dapat din umanong bantayan.

"Ang paracetamol, kapag nasobrahan ka diyan, toxic 'yan sa atay natin. Puwedeng masira ang organ system. Importanteng hindi sumobra sa pagkuha ng gamot," ani Limpin.
