Complexity. Simplified.
That’s what the Danfoss Reverse Displacement Motor (RDM) is all about. We’ve eliminated the directional control valve and integrated the shift valve into the motor, which means increased cost savings and greater efficiencies for you. Our RDM also eliminates the heat generated by traditional fan reversing systems, reducing power consumption by up to 10%, which in turn can decrease fan drive system costs by up to 15%. All while increasing reliability and machine performance.
As we like to say, when less is more, remarkable things can happen.

At Danfoss Power Solutions, we’re innovating to provide our customers with future-proof solutions. That’s why vehicle manufacturer, Franna - A Terex Brand, chose our PVG 48 proportional valve for their MAC25 cranes.
“The PVG is extremely precise and reliable. It does what you want it to do – repeatedly,” says Adam Murchie, Franna’s project engineer, Australia. “It’s the ideal choice for MAC25 and likely to end up in other of our cranes, too – not least in future launches where more advanced electronic controls are key. We wanted a future-proof valve. PVG 48 is it.”
The MAC25 has enough muscle to handle weights of up to 25 tonnes. Our PVG 48 channels this muscle in the right direction, at the right time – all in the form of hydraulic oil. It turns operator joystick movements into accurate crane lifting, lowering, extending, and turning functions.
The PVG 48 also integrates easily with electric actuators, sensors, and digital controls. This opens a range of possibilities. One is to automate machine functions, so the crane assists the operator, which results in an instant reaction ensuring safe operation.
