CONGRATULATIONS

Congratulations to Yaiman Bande, Chiti Lavanka Chipampe and Lameck Munkantathe who emerged winners representing the University of Lusaka at the 2023 Jessup Zambia National Rounds International Law Moot Court Competition. A special congrats to Yaiman Bande for winning the best speaker award.

We had 5 universities in the Pre- Rounds of the Zambia National Rounds this year, namely, University of lusaka(UNILUS), The University of Zambia -UNZA,Zambian Open University - ZAOU, Mulungushi University and ZCAS University. Unilus and Mulungushi University advanced to the finals.

In the end the University of Lusaka emerged victorious. This means that Unilus will represent Zambia in the 2023 Jessup white & Case International Rounds to be held in Washington DC at Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill from 8 -15 April 2023.

Greetings my fellow beloved Students 😊, acknowledging the fact that we are starting our final examinations this Week on the 06th Dec, 2022. I Pray to God that “all the effort and hard smart work you have put in for your preparations, let it manifest and benefit you greatly when writing your exams 🙏🙏”. I therefore, encourage you to pray for guidance before attempting your exams 😊. Isaiah 40:10, let us not panic as God has our back towards this battle 😊🤗. Bembas have since the olden days spoke of the proverb “imiti kula Empanga” detailing the future being in the hands of us as the youth.

The need to build oneness among us as youths is an important part of growth and community. On November 18th, 2022, the UNILUS Rugby Team (Huskies & Bulldogs along side UNILABOR) paid a visit to Fountain of Hope.

We arrived to warm welcomes as usual and afterwards got a tour of the foundation.
We were given a tour of the classes, the kitchen, the boys' and girls' hostels.
We then walked to the dining room to deliver our donations and meet the children and other staff members.
The kids chants are amazing, we might adopt some. Lol
After that, we proceeded to the playground to interact with the children and play games like rugby, basketball, and netball.
Some of the students were able to meet one-on-one with some of the kids to hear their origin stories, how they ended up at the foundation, and some of the challenges they face on a day to day basis.

Tales that reach deep within and touch our souls. Each with its own curves but the highlight of all of it is the kids ability to desire the pursuit of academic and social development.

It Was lovely to see them again. For any interested in taging along next time or getting involved, please feel free.
