Coffee and plants!!
In Colorado our family stopped it was so cuteeee! I loved seeing so many plants in the coffee bar I didnāt even get pictures of them from all roomsā¦ they had a super cute seating area that I really wish we had more time to hang out in. They also had some windows above the shops I assume either living space or maybe storage but there was even more plants you could see through those windows! The memories burn bright in my mind so Im hoping this vague description will interest some of yāall even just slightly to seek it out.
The town has some seriously interesting history thatās what inspired us but I will forever love that I always end up back with plantsšŖ“š
Mind is a magnetšŖ“š
Taking in every moment in this place!! The views are amazing the sounds spectacular! This is the peak of nature and Iām never wanting to leave.
5am departure to Co went better than I expected!
Of course the airport had some plants. The ones no one else wantedšš no Iām kidding I donāt judge yāall for having calatheas just donāt bring them back to me! This has been a fun trip so far not a lot of sleep but a lot of things to look at and experience for the first time.
Iām really pumped for the next few days to find out so much about this state and the native environment around.
Follow to find out what plants I find around Denver and Glendale Springs!
Plant swap went great!!!
I had good fun some laughs and met some super cool people! Iām so socially awkward and I really hope I didnāt scare anyone or coke off to weird; it was a step outside my comfort zone but a step much needed!
I got some really awesome scores for some super simple trades! I even made enough money to grab myself a shaved iceā¦ or two! My boyfriend was a serious champ too. He stuck out the heat and the strangers wandering up to us to score himself a super killer plant! So thankful I was able to be apart of it and show some people. I really hope I find more swaps close to me to start doing this more often it was more than worth it for me.
Thank you for spreading the word, and an every bigger thank you to for the venue and awesome time! It was an honor to show support for not only some awesome businesses but to the local plant community!šŖ“š Forever growingšŖ“

Hereās just a few of my plant swap props!!
iām super excited for tomorrow. Iāve got amazing plans with some amazing people! Even better it all includes plants. Iāve got a few of mine prepped, and some of a friends. Tonight after work and tomorrow morning before the swap, Iāll be doing a lot of prep still, and finishing all of the house stuff to leave right after to Colorado! This is going to be the best couple days, best week!

I try to keep my house at a much different environment but sometimes the heat just winsšš
My house humidity should be at least 50 thatās my preference and the heat should stay at about 68ā72. Here in town itās been getting into the high to mid 90ās on a daily basis lately. So over it.
If the pot fitsšŖ“š
Plants are such a huge part of my life now; I wouldnāt say snob though. I get old friends asking about them when I visit back home; honestly so awesome! Idk if they mean it to be kinda slight but I genuinely gush about them so donāt ask if you donāt want the whole updatešš
Iāve never had anyone tell me out right this was a waste of time or anything but Iāve had my fair share of ugly stares! I like to try to flip the script and live in my lane of delusion and dreams when it comes to my plants.

The world goes round, the trees still grow, the river still runs, and the sun still rises šŖ“
Iām so excited to feel connected with nature this year. The feeling of bringing nature into my home and having grown up always camping. Itās such a rejuvenating feeling!

Happy 4th everyone! Back at home in beautiful Bellingham, Washington. Absolutely enjoying every ounce of this sunlight and happiness!
Glad I got to see family and visit with some people I havenāt seen in a long while. This sunlight is extremely nice on my skin I can only imagine how amazing the plants are feeling lately. These begonia baskets were just at a local grocery store; itās so nice seeing the plant presence around town growing and growing much like my love for plants! If I were to move back into town it would be a huge goal to find a plant shop to call home or even possibly create a new one for the community!

Dealing with a lot of personal stuff the past almost week.
Iām gonna be uploading and updating when I feel the energy again. Right now Iām just taking my time to console myself and support my family. Thanks for your understanding and support in this. Have a great day and I hope to update yāall soonš
These kits are cute but how often do people reach for them?
I would love to try a couple but for the price itās seems crazy. I donāt have an outdoor garden at all either so I would have to gorilla garden. I also know invasive species are a huge problem with mass produced items like this so doing a little background research to make sure theyāre compatible with native plants and wildlife.
Clean your humidifiers!!
Itās been far too long since properly cleaning my small top load humidifier. I also just picked up a new top load from the thrift so thatās gotta get a good scrub down! It took like an hour or two really not too bad.
I honestly have been putting it off bc I really didnāt wanna have to admit to myself how nasty it was and how much I had already put it off but it was time. Iām so glad I did too because the temperature gauge is showing humidity is GREAT right now and both are looking amazing so no one will be getting sick! Itās really important to try to get it all flushed out and at least rinsed properly once a week. I will definitely be adding it onto my weekly plant chores!
Some of my favorite plant close upsš„°
When we check out new shops I love to get a lay of the land and check out every nook. Different places will have vastly different selections which is AMAZING!!! I love getting to explore new genusās or even just different versions of a genus. Itās always so cool to hear from the workers or volunteers as well about what they put into the plants as a grower not just sellers.
Being apart of the plant community these nurseries have the plants best interest (most of the time) and are trying to cultivate beautiful healthy plants just as much as you want to purchase them. Itās a labor of love; one that is never unnoticed or unappreciated by those who truly value the process.
Huge shoutout to who is showing the plant community her process in making things for her shop happen. Seeing amazing people like Chey work on her plant shop from living room to HUGE greenhouse it really shows the love and dedication to this passion. I love seeing people like Chey share the love and more importantly spread the word of plants and valuing nature. I can seriously not wait to see the finally reveal and check it out in person some day!!!šŖ“š„°

Growing shrooms now?š
I noticed a little mushy in a pot today while doing my weekly rounds. Monday-Wednesday I do different plant chores so I donāt get too tired or stuck on things. Today is pest control and inspections.
Found a mushroom in my pothos cebu blue. Also found mealy bugs on my epipremnum skeleton keyšš½ gonna be doing some prevention on all surrounding plants and quarantine the keys for now hopefully the mushroom isnāt anything bad either. Not had too many of those this is one of the first noticeable ones from just viewing.

Now that the plant bans over, you know what time it is!
Photo shoot at the plant store! My favorite plant store in town it of course Iāve been going every week already. I havenāt gone to two crazy but oh my goodness I needed this!š
My boyfriend came with me for this trip to get a scoop of ice cream after and it just made it that much betterš
Heās getting a lot better at taking photos and looking at things from a creative perspective not just glancing through. Thereās such a pros con with having that lens on. He always helps me take on the moment and live it as it is; but I remind him some moments are just too precise to not capture in a few frames. Plant growth looks awesome month to month but you might not see if you donāt capture itās starting moments; itās a hard inner battle to try to balance. A limited phone space doesnāt helpšš

Itās chopping time
Just a slow Monday with a lot happening.
Some really interesting things are in the works but im not 100% sure about it all so Iām currently just trying to enjoy what I can from what I can. Iām really trying to not overextended myself and make sure Iām keeping my peace, my plants, and my families well-being in mind for every decision.
I am very hopeful to be able to share this all with you soon as it is very plant parallel. Things are changing extremely fast and life will not slow down for anybody! Itās Not only the growing season of plants itās the growing season of the soul!!

A small slide on what Iāve got on my top wishlist right now.
Thereās a lot that are on my list and will most likely end up being an import haul one day. I have a ton on that can be obtained through trades and swaps I just gotta get out there more. I have a goal to get a couple of them for sure and some Iām really hoping the prices will drop to allow me to get them as well.
Weāre looking at staying at our current place for a little while longer which means Iām going to have to continue to make this space work but my oh my am I excited to upgrade the space to reflect the collection!!
So close!!! Itās only days away from the plant ban being over. I had a lot of motivation to hold off to save up from my partners birthday and now that itās here Iām glad weāre enjoying it. A part of me is very much itching to get through the next few days though! My plant wishlist is exploding right now!
Comment if we want a preview of the plant wishlist!!

A dump of may! Not a lot of plant shopping so these are pictures from mini adventures we went on this month. From hikes to pond hideouts this month has been a step back to enjoy my plants and enjoy my time.
Iām itching to buy a new plant and itās only a few days left but Iām ready. Iāve been mush more focused on what I have and it makes me see what I still would love to have. Itās also given me the chance to see what should be leaving my collection.
Soon Iāll have a lot more plant related content again and a little less Belen life related content. Thanks for sticking through this plant ban with me!

From tank to cabinet!
Some of yāall might not have known but I thrift it at a $15 fish tank. I bought some Amazon suppliers like double-sided, tape and acrylic shelving. I transformed this into a decently sized plant cabinet in a matter of 2 to 3 weeks.
I really encourage people to use what they have and I love going to thrift stores to find out what is out there. From my glass panel TV stand to this fish tank. You just Gotta have enough imagination. I absolutely love brainstorming ideas, and when the stores to see what type of projects I can come up with. This is just one of the many!
Let me know if anyone is curious on how I actually managed to throw this all together!

Spring has sprung and it is hotttt!
Lately weāve been going on nature walks or just outside for a little bit lately and itās been so good. I really enjoy getting some lovely sun.
The cats have been in the plant room to sun bathe a lot lately as well. They really enjoy just hanging out with the plants and the extra sun they all receive.

Sometimes life feels like a fairytalešŖ“š
This plant was one on my wishlist for a little while that I stumbled across finally at a fun shop close to home. .co has such a selection and price variety I loved finding new or harder to get ahold of plants while looking at different shops.
This oxalis has shown so much amazing growth at fist I got just a few new shoots about the same size as the last ones. About an inch or so in size now these puppies have nearly DOUBLED Iād argue they look almost 2.5 inches but for sure the full size of my thumb! I really enjoy this plant the blooms it shows off before the foliage comes in is so beautiful and different from most other plants.
Some planty folks donāt like having color amongst their collection but tbh that was my favorite color before plants so I really like having small pops of color scattered. Lmk what you think about color in your collection!!

Today was a day in the great outdoors!! We hiked a small trail to check out what we could find locally!! It was so cute to picnic and hike on such a freaking beautiful day!!
Picked up this beautiful snowdrift recently. I had never heard of this plant before, but, omgosh is this spectacular!
My boyfriend has little knowledge in the horticulture field and he understood the basic rule plants need green and was thrown off by my pick but after a mini lecture he is super on board š he likes the narrow forms, alien or jurassic looking foliage, or high contrast variegation! Doesnāt he have good taste?!šš
Iām definitely going to be keeping this next to very good lighting and keep a cloche over it. I might put it in a glass jar rather to have it very much displayed as itās breathtaking and such an eye catcher. Please comment any suggestions on how to keep this healthy new comer alive and wellš
