Visits for the new JROTC Academy sites have begun! Savannah, we are excited to head your way
Teams from the 11 JROTC STEM Leadership Academy sites who will be supporting cadets from nearly 30 school districts ranging from San Diego to Philadelphia came to Mobile to learn from the '23 cohort and begin planning for '24 and '25.
Today teams got their robots moving, but tomorrow they will have to use those robots to gather, scoop, and stack various items.
After being organized into teams, cadets are finally able to get into the VEX Robotics V5 kits. They will be investigating drivetrains, great ratios, and inverse relationships while building a robot that can achieve success in the STEM on the Ground design challenges.
Day 1 in San Diego starts with COL Swann in-briefing the 139 cadets, then the fun (and learning) begins.

We were so excited to have cadets from Atlanta Public Schools, Fulton County Schools, and Muscogee County Schools! It was a busy day across all 3 JROTC STEM Academies today. Some JCLC training, industry visits, and robot building.
Who knew learning could be this fun?! JROTC cadets in Troy, AL, Mobile, AL, and Columbus, GA are finding out by building robots to study STEM in advanced manufacturing.
We've got Academy Coaches in Columbus, GA and Troy and Mobile, AL prepping instructional teams for 3 JROTC STEM Leadership Academies next week. Nearly 400 JROTC cadets will be taking part in this great experience.
