These, these hit home for me. This month, in honor of the month she passed I decided to come up with a couple of designs related to cancer. A light purple or lavender ribbon is used to represent esophageal cancer and cancer survivors, but it is also often used to represent cancers as a whole, which is why I decided on that color. Although Miranda didn’t survive her battle, her smile and memory will always live on in the lives she effected. Which is why I got the Phoenix tattoo in the first place in her memory. It represents never giving up, enduring, and rising up from from whatever life throws at you, no matter what. It’s what prompted the name for the brand and what helped design the logo and also the new brand merch (also pictured). It’s what started this journey of making designs in the first place. Always letting people know that no matter how hard life gets, and it will, that there is always a light in the dark. To never give up, and to hopefully spread smiles to people who need it like she did. You are missed every single day.

Update: Also wanted to shout out a close friend of mine who also has gone to hell and back dealing with cancer. She too has a strength and tenacity that is rare in people now a days. I’d shave my head again any day for you!
