I'm slowly working on some new songs and on putting together something live for you all and, to be honest, for me too. I'd like to say it's been a tough season in which to be getting music done, and I'd be right in saying that, except that every season seems to be tough at the moment so what's new?! That being said, I'm looking forward to the day I get my bum into gear and perform again. I'm aware I haven't gigged as iamjon yet and I hope that will soon change. But I'm also trying not to burn myself out and spread myself too thin - it's a fine line between working hard and working too hard, I think.
I also find it really tricky updating my social media regularly, to the point where it sometimes throws me off my music game because I despair and wonder the point of it all. This is evident in the amount I post. I guess I figured I don't have a huge amount to say?
Anyways, I took a picture of the sunrise sky the other day and thought it was pretty cool, so enjoy this collection of pixels. Also keep your ears listening out for anything new I release - it's all sounding pretty swell on this side of release so I'm hoping you'll enjoy.

We travelled up by train, which gave me time to think about the next season of my music in more detail. I'm so excited - ready yourselves!

2022 was a year of adulting for me, which meant I wasn't able to be as consistent with my music and general iamjon stuff. This year is looking like it is going to be a little different. I've got some really exciting plans for music release, fresh from the new studio in my new house with some new equipment and a fresh new outlook. Are we ready?

I found this pumpkin-looking easy-peel orange fruit and thought I'd better document its magnificence before I ate it. Not only did it look great but it also tasted great so all in all I'm a fan.

Vitamin C aside, progress on anything creative has been slow. I hope to have something out before the end of the year but it's been a bit of a battle getting anything done in a busy season. Stay orange, stay groovy, big love.

I managed to squeeze in a great week off in the Cotswolds with my in laws this week. Scroll across to see my mate, Camel, showing off their saggy humps in response to a little ditty I wrote them.

I have been away for the whole of last week so instead of making music, I have been enjoying various Disney medleys in Disneyland Paris. I'm back at the grind now though so look out!

Do you ever get lost in something that you might have potentially been invested in for hours? This evening I have been writing music and finding out what is possible with the equipment I have. So. Much. Fun.

For those of you who have noticed a new track that Spotify is showing that I posted from the 25th January and are confused with my new direction, please don't worry. "This is who I am" is an imposter track that Spotify have added under my name but I did not have any part in the making of this song. I'm sure that the artist behind "This is who I am" is a very nice person but it is not who I am.

Spotify will be rectifying their mistake over the next 2 or 3 weeks.
