Just a few snacks that will help balance your blood sugar

Coltons sugar has had its ups and downs trying to get whats best for him to start getting good numbers again we lost our home december 7 2022 to a house fire we was lucky we got there in time to get 3 of our other kids my cousin and her babies out it was already half way gone when we went into the burning house to get them up out of their sleep so we have been staying with my mom but only have till january 3rd to find something due to some curcumstances with my brother colton and his siblings still had a good christmas after loosing their christmas in our house fire our community came together to make sure they all had a good christmas after all we hope all of you had a good christmas as well i wanted to update a little on colton not much as changed thank you for followimg him with his journey against type 1 diabetes colton did so good in his christmas play at school as well heres some christnas pictures of colton and our house after the fire

Colton was diagnosed with strep Thursday October 27th 2022 Saturday and today he's been fever free he's had the worst time eating and drinking and is on antibiotics so hopefully they start working his tonsils are so huge that his airway is almost closed having tonsils removed has been talked about with his pediatrician but because he's a type 1 diabetic were all concerned if any surgeries because it can take longer to heal if it heals at all if you will whisper a little prayer for him also for my nephew corbin he Also has strep ear infection and the stomach bug and Remember my cousins little boy in prayer he has rsv rhinovirus and adenovirus lots of sickness going around thank you so much

I've not posted in awhile but coltons sugar has been running high on and off but on the plus side we're not letting his type 1 diabetes get us down or his siblings disabilities and we all enjoyed going to the this year all of the kids had so much fun September October November and December is always our faviorte months and when we do a lot of stuff we had his older brothers birthday and the pumpkin patch the end of September this month we are celebrating Halloween and since one of his younger brothers birthday is November 1st the day after Halloween we always have a Halloween & birthday party for Ryder this year Colton has decided to be a ninja for Halloween and they all can't wait for the party then we have Thanksgiving which they all love food we don't let coltins type 1 diabetes from stopping him from eating all the good stuff we just add his sugar and how many carbs he ate and treat him for it with his insulin then December Colton turns 7 and we have christmas so that's his faviorte month because he gets extra gifts

When Colton goes back to the diabetes center in August for his 3 month check up he will get blood work done to check his thyroid and other things

In February coltons a1c was 11.4 today it's a 9 we got it down 2 numbers still not exactly we're it needs to be but defiantly better than an 11.4

Haven't posted about coltons journey with type 1 diabetes in awhile but he has an appointment at the diabetes center today also he graduated kindergarten yesterday

Colton got 18.5 units to cover his carbs he had for dinner and his glucose glucose was 400 he got 4.5 units for that and he had 14 units to cover carbs total of 18.5 units

He had chicken Alfredo and drunk hot chocolate with it

He loved his dexcom but we had so much trouble out of it and then I seen there was a lawsuit against for giving false glucose readings
