TOKYO 2020 SCHEDULE

The karate events are slated to take place from Aug. 5 to 7 in Tokyo at the famed Nippon Budokan, a venue built ahead of the 1964 Summer Olympics that has hosted numerous international martial arts events over the years, including the Karate World Championships.

Aug. 5:
- Women’s Kata elimination/ranking/medal rounds
- Women’s Kumite -55kg tournament and victory ceremony
- Men’s Kumite -67kg tournament and victory ceremony

Aug. 6:
- Men’s Kata elimination/ranking/medal rounds
- Women’s Kumite -61kg tournament and victory ceremony
- Men’s Kumite -75kg tournament and victory ceremony

Aug. 7:
- Women’s Kumite +61kg tournament and victory ceremony
- Men’s Kumite +75kg tournament and victory ceremony

Allow a complete motor education, reinforcing all your educational and psychomotive possibilities (space / time, proceptivity, laterality, launch, throw, push, drag, jump, roll, fall, coordinate, stimulate relationship with other people SOCIALIZATION, using the game and fighting as a supplement to motorcycle and with the introduction of sports technique and tactics, as well as seeking an ideal general fitness.

The CIO (International Olympic Committee) considers it one of the most complete sports and promotes the values of friendship, participation, respect and effort to improve.

So as we are still waiting for the go ahead from the welsh government to restart training again, i have taken the time to complete COVID safe martial arts instructor certification.
