Love turning real cardboard sideways. Tonight we helped test some Modern against two of my favourite pet decks. 3-0 in a sanctioned paper Standard having not played any since Pre-pandemic when we were at Theros Betind Death, playing some Legacy Staples with added bling of artist signed copies. Then treated myself to filling a gap in the collection with an old school Sword of Fire & Ice which will also surely find itself into the Cube.
And all in a school night too.

One of my favourite artists just got a full art land cycle. I love original Zendikar full arts, I love all the John Avon Art full arts we’ve ever seen, I love the OG stained glass of Unglued but Magali Villeneuve Artworks/Concept Arts has knocked it out of the park with these. The cube is about to get up an upgrade and I will never own enough of these. So you will always have something you can get me for a gift the foils of these are going to be 🤯

For the first time in my MTG journey, I got a full set of Basic Lands for Dominaria United. ❤

Kamigawa Neon Dynasty previews are coming in an avalanche and there is some amazing stuff, from artwork, story reveals, return of Phyrexian Mana (I kid you not), Sagas that Transform however the first card will be my draft Kryptonite. This is so true. 4 years ago today I was in a day 2 at GP Birmingham playing with Inferno Titan in Modern. I recently got to play a real draft in person draft again and my first ever Original Conspiracy at that.
Time to craft more MTG memories in the days ahead.

I've been taking an unplanned break, firstly from streaming but also from playing MTGArena. Each week I've been intending to come back and start up again but right now I just don't have the keen to play.

I started to stream to try and be social in a new way because of the National Lockdown that has gone on for so long but to generally get to share my love of the game with friends and strangers alike.

At the moment even with Strixhaven releasing on Arena in possibly 48hrs I don't have the drive or desire to play or to do the research and preparation I would do with each and every new set release.

I think the long duration of missing paper magic coupled with the need to invest cash to play digitally at a time when finances have been strained for so long is just the last barrier that I'm not ready to break through at this time.

Looking at things rationally there is a lot of things I'm not enjoying at the moment the way I would expect and perhaps there is a little bit of a mental wellbeing warning that I need to refocus my energy and be prepared to spend time on those things that I am enjoying until I'm once again excited to crack packs and turn cardboards sideways in the digital world.

I'm not saying I am 100% done, but I fear I am done for the time being.

In case I don't make it back I do want to say thank you to every single person that has spent any time if even only a minute or two visiting the stream and being apart of my twitch journey, your time, your interest and your company is something I am humbled by and very grateful for.

Strixhaven previews are hitting hard and fast, so much so I haven't been able to look at them all yet. But my pick for today has to be our first ever Module Double Faced Card with a Planeswalker on both sides!

I had a feeling we'd be seeing the twins again in this set and this is a cute way to see them, and of course all by one of our very favourite artists in Magali Villeneuve. The original card for them The Royal Scions was a card that brought a lot of fun for me in a Grixis Reanimator deck.

Another 6 mana Liliana on the heels of the powerful Dreadhorde General. Possessing a static ability that control decks are going to love, with card selection and draw, the ability to protect itself and an ultimate that should end the game.

We point out now this is another planeswalker that with Vorinclex in play you can ultimate on T1...something for us to play around with on release I guess.

Good news in feeling much better today, but it's been my first good day in over a week and don't want to over do it. So Stream stays on vacation this evening.

Very much hoping and expecting to be back playing some magic and getting the Stream back on track for broadcasts next week.

So the full set is now official and can be seen on the mothership both normal and the bonus time shifted sets.

As promised I bring you my pick from the Times Shifted sheet for artifacts, there are some great ones for Commander, Legacy and even Standard right now but my pick has to be the Mirrodin nightmare and lock piece to so many decks, Chalice of the Void.

I've cast a fair few from the side board in days past on Modern to good effect and I know there are plenty of Legacy decks that will enjoy getting hold of this old border version.

So yesterday we were granted sight of the Timeshifted Multicoloured, Artifact and Land cards. Rather than only pick one I'll pick three and show you the rest over the next two days. There are some really cool choices.

However for Multicoloured there can be only one...especially if your name is MissJund. So I give you the originator from Shards of Alara Block non other than Bloodbraid Elf themselves. Maybe Miss Jund will think about Legacy again now.
