Hey, Today ,9th May 2023..Who knows where the time goes.
What is happening with X-SUPERSTAR?
Well we did those 2 gigs a few months ago which was amazing. With no rehearsal and considering we had never played together as a 3 piece it was cool.
So where to go, where to go and what to do.
As you probably know Toni Haimi, my lovely Finnish friend is on board with myself and Rachael.
We are now in the process of getting a drummer/percussionist. 27th May is start date in London to get the band together and we will be ready to go.
We as a band are excited, we have the album, producer, Phil Brown, and the live set will be ready and dates will be announced.

Andy Cousin, proud son of the People’s Republic of West Yorkshire, has not been resting on the laurels of his success driving All About Eve into their imperial phase and bringing his bass to bedrock The Mission through a period in the ‘90’s. Instead he sought out Rachael Dunn – who for a decade has been amongst the standout songwriters and vocalists in that classic Merseyside style.

Locked down by the pandemic, a restless energy overtook the collaboration between Rachael and Andy. Every musical sketch, arrangement, lyric and melody acquired an unmistakable vitality. Before restrictions were lifted there was an album’s worth of songs in the treasure chest.

Andy then sought to get the songs mixed and involved Phil Brown (best known as working with Marillion) and soon the songs became complete.

Rehearsals went underway and Andy brought in old band mate Toni Haimi. Toni is best known as Toni Sailor- the Finnish guitarist from Sohodolls, and the last guitarist with All About Eve. With the line up now complete, the band look forward to playing their first live events in March this year.

Hey, just to keep you informed. 26th Feb 2021
Andy and Rachael are working on tracks for the album, no release date yet due to Covid 19. They recon 11/12 songs with a concept idea, about lost and hidden life.
Andy and Rachael will slowly release short lyrics videos for the first 5 songs, then its up to you.
As you know tours will be announced for ,hopefully late July.
By then X-SUPERSTAR will be ready.
We will keep you informed and Andy and Rachael will put then next 3 lyric videos on this site and on YouTube shortly. X
