Itโ€™s impossible for our minds to be in the present moment all day long. However, we can consciously bring our mind into the here and now throughout the day. Try this brief practice to learn how. Weโ€™re not striving for perfection. Weโ€™re striving for short moments of awareness multiple times a day.

Today Iโ€™m sharing one of my favorite joy hacks. I call the Cup of Joy. Itโ€™s a fun activity for both kids and adults! ๐Ÿ˜โค๏ธ

The Hoberman Sphere or โ€œbreathing ballโ€ as I like to call it is one of my favorite mindfulness tools for kids. Itโ€™s a great addition to any calm down space at home or in the classrooms. It provides children with a nice visual of whatโ€™s happening in their belly as they breathe in and out.

Worry is universal; itโ€™s something that happens to all of us from time to time. The next time worry is present, try this trick.

No feeling is permanent. Emotions come and go, just like the weather. The problem is not the feeling itself. Suffering is caused when we cling to or resist feelings.

When weโ€™re feeling overwhelmed, our attention gets stuck on a certain thought or memory. Mindfulness can help to bring the mind back into the present moment. You can use your senses to anchor your attention in your physical environment.
