I live with this reality every day…

I’m a toddler mom, I’m up to my eyeballs in tantrums, screaming, throwing, hitting, you name it, it’s happening in my house. Toddlerhood is hard but it’s important not to take what’s happening personally.

Are you in the toddler trenches with me? Share your favorite emoji below ⬇️! 🧜🏿‍♀️🛀🏿🪼🐷

Why I drastically changed my vacation plans to cater to my son’s sleep

Every family has different priorities. In our family, sleep it’s very high on our priority list, especially for our toddler. Life revolves around his sleep. This works for us.

I understand that every family is different and not every family cares as much as we do about sleep. That’s OK every family has their own priorities and every family works in different ways. You need to find out what works best for you and your family and not compare yourself to others .

Would you alter your vacation plans to cater to your child’s sleep? Share below! ⬇️

7 Facts about newborns that nobody told you.

Newborns are fascinating and complicated little creatures. I call the newborn stage the “potato stage” because until they develop and grow a bit, they can’t really do much.

Newborns are also kind of mysterious! The reason I say this is because people often don’t know much about this stage of life and learn as they go.

Within this carousel, you can learn a thing or two about newborns.

Do you know any interesting facts about newborns that I didn’t list? Are you looking for newborn support? Send me a DM.

Why I don’t judge you when you tell me…

I can’t tell you the number of times that I’ve spoken to a parents and they didn’t want to share something with me because they thought I was going to judge them. I remind them that no matter what they are doing, it is their choice. As long as it is working for all parties involved, then it is working but when it stops working for all parties involved then is no longer working. When something stops working for everyone, that’s the time to make change.

I will not judge you, that’s not my job. I want you to succeed and success looks different for everyone!

Are you ready to get non-judgmental sleep expertise and support? Send me a DM.

Warning! You may achieve success but that does not define you.

Success a simple definition: “the accomplishment of an aim or purpose.” But what I define as success may not be what you define as success. Like many things, success is subjective.

When helping families to get their children sleeping better, I am constantly checking in to see how they’re feeling about their situation. What I think may be a win, may not be a win and what they think may be a win could be so small, but I’m going to celebrate that with them.

This is your journey, and you define your own success. Are you ready to get started? Share your favorite emoji below! 🦄🎨🏝️🛀🏿

Stop wasting time.

I talk to families all of the time who want to see results but don’t know where to start or how to start. Whether it is creating healthy sleep habits with their newborn or helping their infant/toddler learn to fall asleep independently. Consistency will always be the magic answer. Obviously, there is more to sleep conditioning and sleep training than just consistency but if you aren’t ready to deliver consistency across the board then you may as well not start the task in the first place. In order to get results, you must be ready to put in the work. Are you in or are you out?

Are you interested in working with me? Join my group program beginning 6/17. Do the work, see results. Dm me to get started.

Is this you…
…your baby is up every two hours to eat and you are stuck in an endless exhausted cycle.
…your baby was sleeping 6-8 hour stretches and is now only sleeping 3 hour stretches.
…your baby needs you to rock her for 2 hours while she naps. You can’t get anything done!
…my baby is waking up 4 times a night, screaming. You are losing your patience and do not know how to get her to become a better sleeper!

What if…
…your baby actually sleeps through the night without you needing to rock, hold or feed them?
…your twins could continue to sleep in the same room together without waking each other up?
…you have more predictable nap schedules so that you can schedule appointments or go out to lunch with friends and bring a happy baby along?
…you have to return to work but your baby is not napping well and my nanny gets burnt out?

Imagine if…
…you and your partner can finally enjoy a quiet dinner together without worrying about who will soothe the baby when he wakes up.
…you can eat lunch alone, in silence because nap time is finally dependable.
…your stress level reduces because your whole family is sleeping better.
…your baby is so much happier because she’s finally getting enough sleep.

My 6-week group program (for parents of babies 3 months-17 months) will help you achieve all of this and more. Dm me to sign up!

Nothing in life is easy and we all view parenthood differently. In my experience, I went through trauma and hardship to get to where I am today. It was very hard but I’m thrilled to be on the other side. I use this trauma and experience in a positive manner when coaching families during the postpartum period as well as around sleep. I am able to be empathetic and compassionate to things that other coaches may take for granted. I see you. I’m here to hold your hand and guide you to better sleep.

Last week I had a call with a prospective client and on the call I told them exactly what method/s I would recommend and why. The parent paused and asked “why did you tell me what method/s you would use?” I said “anyone can look up these methods. I did not invent them. I am providing a service around this process.”

My job as your sleep consultant is not to invent a sleep method. My job is to figure out what techniques, methods, visuals, etc., work specifically for your child or children. I tell clients all of the time that I need to help crack their child’s “code”; sometimes that’s simple and sometimes it’s complex. I enjoy being challenged, I like the clients that really make me think about what will be the best way to teach that child how to fall asleep independently while supporting the parent/parents through the process. And there’s always progress if the parents follow my suggestions! We are a team.

In my group program, Parenting in Pajamas, we will talk all about the methods and I will help you decide which method will be best for you and your child.

4 tips for choosing the best sleep training method for your family—

With the amount of sleep, training techniques and methods out there, I can imagine how confusing it is for families that don’t know how to begin the process. When working with families, I take into consideration a few things: how comfortable they are with the process, how hands-on they want to be, if they are familiar with why babies cry and if they have a support system. Sleep training can be really hard so knowing which method you’re going to use or which method you’re not going to use can be really helpful.

In my 6-week group program, Parenting in Pajamas, we will discuss the different methods of sleep training, how to prepare for sleep training (mentally and physically) as well as helping you to find the perfect method for you and your family. My goal with my group program is to make you feel supported and heard in a community setting.

My clients are seeing positive results and here’s why…

Earlier today I was asked if I ever get nervous that my clients won’t have positive results and respond well to my plans. My answer was “no, I am confident in what I do.” The reason I am confident is because I have seen enough positive results (and very few negative results) that I know I can deliver success to each and every client WHEN the caregivers are on board and ready to put in the work.

My job is to teach you the tools to succeed, that looks different for everybody. There is no one size fits all approach to sleep training, every single family is different and there are no two families that are the same. Every human on this planet is different so how could I successfully do the same thing twice? Some plans are similar but the support I offer always looks a little different.

Why I created a group program for parents of children 3 months-17 months—

Group programs can be great for parents looking for something that’s a little different than 1:1 support. I created this program with the following reasons in mind!

Education- you will learn a LOT of new information, not only about sleep training but about yourself as well.

Support- you will have weekly access to me in a live group session but you will also have group chat support with your peers!

Guidance- i am here to guide you through the process. I know you can do this!

Age-specific subject matter- we will be focused on babies that are 3 months to 17 months. This means your specific situation and situations similar to yours will be able to be addressed without worrying about other age groups.

Community- you will have access to up to 9 other parents within your cohort. This means that you can access camaraderie, support and possibly friendship from people in a similar situation.

Lower price point than 1:1 support- due to the nature of a group program, you’ll pay a bit less for a bit longer ($447 for 6 weeks).

Does this sound enticing? Do you want more information? DM me. The waitlist opens tomorrow! Save your spot!

I know that Mother’s Day can be tough for a lot of people. I want to wish you a Happy Mother’s Day IF you celebrate. I want to wish you a Happy Sunday if you do not. Whether you are a mother, grandmother, step-mother, are longing to be a mother, are a loss mother, have a mother, etc., I see you. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Everyone has their own perceptions of what sleep training is or isn’t. I’m here to clear it up for you with some facts. There is also a right way and a wrong way to do things and that can turn things upside down quickly. When sleep training is done properly, it isn’t harmful, neglectful or any other negatives you may associate with sleep training. Sleep training is not for everyone but that’s a conversation for a different post.

Are you looking for guidance? Send me a DM to set up your discovery call.
