Kicking off 2022 with and dry-ish January!

We’re officially 5 months out from the wedding (I got engaged while I was MIA from posting the past few months!) so it’s crunch time for feeling and looking our best for the big day!

That means riding my more, eating a little cleaner and drinking a (little) less. With ’s 90 cal IPA Lay Low, I feel a little less guilty treating myself after a ride!

Anyone else have goals/resolutions in 2022??

Got fancy in the kitchen tonight with homemade mushroom risotto and seared scallops. Really liked this recipe, but be warned—risotto is A LOT of work. Pretty sure my right arm will be buff in the am. Next time, I think I’d use a different oil to sear the scallops—something with a higher smoke point to get a better sear. Any other tips from my home cooks out there??

If you’re looking for a mid-day pick-me-up, head over to and try their new Vietnamese Iced Coffee! I went yesterday and grabbed one for a Sunday treat and it was SO GOOD. The coffee is a special Vietnamese blend and it’s mixed with condensed milk to tame a little of that coffee bitterness. Go try it (they do curbside pick up!) and comment what you think below!!

This isn’t my usual content, but I have to post this rosemary and roasted garlic bread recipe I tried. It is so flavorful and was legit the easiest thing. FINALLY got out of the house and went straight to for some tasty takeout! We’re having what I call a “living room picnic”, complete with roasted chicken, ribs, brisket and all the fixins, while making sure we’re doing our part in social distancing. Musselin’ through this week has been tough. Are you all working from home? I’m trying to do as much take out/delivery as I can to limit being out while supporting our Atlanta restaurant fam. So excited for next week— is kicking of it’s annual ! For 7 days (March 15-21) you can enjoy $7 specialty burgers with fun beer pairings at participating restaurants. One of my favorites in the lineup this year is ’s “Dynamic Duo” burger—the patty is half beef and half bacon grind! Then it’s topped with beer cheese, peppers and onions and paired with a delish lager. Make sure you check out all the burger options on website!

A bit of a different spin on waffles this AM! has a 💣 brunch menu, with an entire section dedicated to waffles. This one is the lox waffle, with ricotta (instead of cream cheese!), fried capers and everything seasoning. If you’re in the mood, it pairs really well with their Chant Lager or a mimosa!

Spice up your Wednesday at with the sriracha mango fried chicken slider 🔥🔥🔥. This is totally not what I usually think of eating at an Asian restaurant, but the Asian spices paired with the crunch from the chicken and sweet mango is such an amazing combo!

You can get traditional chicken and waffles, or you can order their tasty waffles with (swipe!) a side of the best chicken wings EVER. They come in a few flavors; my fave is the coconut lemongrass. It ends up being a super-flavorful build-your-own chicken and waffles brunch! Weekend plans made!

Who has plans? I’m heading to for their Mardi Gras “Pardi” this Fat Tuesday! They have delish specials all day long and have a live zydeco band playing festive music starting at 7pm. A perfectly seared scallops is tough to come by, but one of my favorite foods. nailed the sear on the Atlantic diver scallops dish that’s on their winter menu. It’s paired with colorful carrots and a tasty farro mixed with seasonal veggies. It’s such a fun date night spot (a great idea for !) and with special dishes like this one, it’s such a treat!

How do you prefer your noodles? Soupy with lots of broth, or drier topped with all the things? You can get both at —they have awesome ramen, but their Dan Dan noodles really hit the spot today. The egg adds the perfect amount of fat, and the meat is spiiiicy 🔥
