From battling obesity..
Battling cancer..
Losing both of my parent..
Going through extreme mental health issues
But no matter what…I stayed consistent, I stayed consistent because that’s what my mom would’ve wanted…that’s what my dad would’ve wanted and that’s what I wanted.
We have ONE life and trust ME- it can break us…but there’s strength within each and everyone of us. I found it within me and I know it’s in you too
So no matter what you’re going through….

It’s not about the number on the scale, it’s about how you mentally and physically feel✨
Id be lying if I said I didn’t miss seeing 135 on the scale and being in a size 6 jeans but back then I was actually just getting diagnosed with cancer, my body was physically and mentally fighting and I was still in the “I need to lose weight” mindset.
I am at a state where I am happy with my weight, I am happy with my curves and 170 is a weight that is sustainable for me where I don’t feel like I need to be dieting. I can eat what I want, not go extreme in the gym & the scale and I don’t have as much beef 😂
If you’re reading this, I hope you get to find the happiness out of the journey vs always trying to get to the end, because sometimes the “end” won’t even be enough for you.
Getting to this spot takes TIME & I can definitely say I have down days where I feel my heaviest all over again. I don’t think that will ever go away and I’ve accepted it. It’s goes away and It’s apart of life, just don’t get to stuck there 🫶🏽

Weight loss is simple, but mentally hard.
Find the discipline, be committed, remind yourself that it won’t be a perfect ride and “falling off track” will almost always happen. It’s apart of life and you are human!

Let’s talk about body dysmorphia.
I went from 320+ lbs to as low at 135 lbs & now I am at 175 lbs.
Now I’d be lying if I said the jump from 135-175 didn’t do anything to the way I looked at myself.
We are literally our worst critics, & can see ourselves way different than how someone else sees us. Yes I loved feeling “skinny” with no figure but when I look back to those old pictures, I actually like how I look today more.
But sometimes, when I see the number on the scale, my mind will start playing tricks on me & i will automatically start feeling & seeing myself as how I used to be.
This comes in waves & tbh I don’t know if it will ever go away. The important thing is, if you feel this way, you are not alone.
Take pictures, take the videos, journal on how you feel in the moment, and return to those when you are feeling low. Even when you felt like you were at your best you still might look back & realize it was still a battle.
Be proud of how far you’ve come, the things you went through weren’t easy, weight loss is not for the weak! You & your mind are stronger than you know it ❤️
