Julie Grow Denton for Supreme Court
I am a 1997 graduate of Harvard Law School running for NYS Supreme Court (5th JD).
Made it over the finish line - all four of us successfully! THANK YOU!!
Sun goes down and the moon comes up on a day that we have anticipated for over a year. There are countless people to thank. No matter how the story ends, I am sincerely grateful.
One hour left to vote! If you haven’t, please do. If you need to encourage someone to vote, please do. And if you have voted, thank you for participating in the process!!
Spreading the word!!
Saw my mom today too
Our last event as a foursome - the Election Day spaghetti dinner at Our Lady of Pompei in Syracuse. The food was delicious and the turnout was electric!
When I talk about my work in private practice, I cannot help but think of Judge Richard D. Simons, retired NYS Court of Appeals Judge (our state’s highest court) and former Acting Chief Judge of the State of New York. He died in mid-July, but wanted to write the attached letter in support of my candidacy. His widow hoped it might be printed as a letter to the editor, but in lieu of that happening, I am posting both letters here. It is an honor to be supported by them both.
And on the topic of family, I had to see my former law partners (and father and cousin!) on my Election Day travels.
After breakfast I stopped by Rome Sign Company, which is owned by my brother-in-law and father-in-law. The shop helped my husband design the campaign logo. Thanks for everyone’s help!!
Mass this morning with my mother-in-law and then breakfast together at the Iron Kettle. Thanks to all who said they are voting today!
I’ve voted - have you?? Please and thank you!
And so the day begins - with a beautiful sunrise and a beautiful daughter! She is studying American History and just completed the unit on the Revolutionary War. Our country is rooted in the idea that we each have a voice. Please exercise your right to vote!!
IT’S ELECTION DAY! Please vote and encourage 10 people you know to do the same. THANK YOU!
As part of the campaign process, I submitted extensive questionnaires and interviewed before my peers in various Bar Associations. Here you can see I was rated “highly qualified” by the CNY Women’s Bar Association and the Onondaga County Bar Association. The Oneida County Bar Association also rated me “highly qualified,” and the Oswego County Bar Association rated me “recommended as qualified” (which is the only positive rating they offer). The “commended” notation that you see on the CNY Women’s Bar letter is for my awareness of, sensitivity to and actions taken in furtherance of gender equality in the courtroom. I am the only Supreme Court candidate in our district to have been so commended. Thank you to my colleagues for their time and dedication to reviewing my questionnaire and speaking with me!
Campaigning is a humbling experience when friends go out of their way to show support. Charlie posted this without my asking. Thank you!!
Here are three law enforcement endorsements that I was honored to receive from the NYS Troopers PBA, the NYS Police Investigators Association, and the Onondaga County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association. Thank you to the members of each organization for your selfless service to our communities.
Nothing says summer like an outdoor chicken BBQ - even if it is Nov. 5th!!! Had a lot of fun today in Herkimer with the Republican Party, where every veteran who attended received a free meal. More amazing weather! More amazing volunteers! Thanks for including me.
Sorry - I accidentally cut off the bottom lines of Coach Roser’s message.
These kind words written by Coach Roser on his own initiative are very much appreciated. He was wonderful to our son Jon.
Another unsolicited post. So generous of Assemblyman - soon to be Senator - Walczyk. Thank you so much!!
Thanks, Mr. Garro, for inviting me to your Morning Talk Show today. I had a great time!
Thanks to Christine Scharf, Charlie Sexton and Cindy DelPiano for writing such nice letters, all of which are being published in the Syracuse Post Standard.
One final meet-and-greet in Clinton tonight at the American Legion. I met so many wonderful people and appreciate the work of the family that hosted.
One week until Election Day! No time to take our foot off the gas. Please continue to share these posts and help others learn more about our campaign. And most important of all — please vote and encourage others to participate in this very important process. THANK YOU!!
Happy Halloween!! My daughter and her friend helped me participate in the South Rome Trunk or Treat. Thanks to the many hundreds who came through. We had a great time!!
This evening it was nice to be close to home to attend the Freedom Fund dinner for the Rome chapter of the NAACP. A strong turnout and a meaningful evening as many community awards were given. One theme of the program was the importance of exercising your right to vote. Please do so! Early voting started today.
The only reason I am willing to post this weird photo of me squinting into the sun is because my friend’s dog is just so adorable. This morning we canvassed neighborhoods in Lee to spread the word about the campaign.
And today my little boy turned 20. WOW!
Spent Friday in Syracuse. Met with colleagues during the day, and ate dinner with the Manlius Republican Party at night. I won’t remember how to cook when this campaign is over!
