What a throwback! This will definitely go down as one of the best memories of my life.

In 2016, together with a friend named Jamie Tuti, my brother Karl Gatiramu and I started a football team called Rising Stars that played in the sub-county league.

We invited a couple friends to join the team. Despite it being our first season and barely training, we managed to finish 6th in the league.

I had the pleasure of being the head coach of the team. Also, because my players were jokers due to lack of numbers I ended up playing 3 games.

The funniest moment of this whole experience was when we would go play teams in other areas and they would call us “Vijana wa Indomie” or “Vijana wa Blueband” because of where we were from and how we spoke.

Share A Smile (Highlights) 14/01/2021

Last year, I launched a podcast called Just To Kick It Is A Blessing. Basically, what that means to me is just to be alive is a gift. However, after I sat down and talked to a few of my friends we realized that many people didn't feel like that because of the global pandemic. Therefore, we decided to start a foundation called Share A Smile, with the aim to put a smile on someone's face and remind them no matter how hard life is, it will always be a gift.

We had our first even last year on Saturday 19th December 2020, where we visited the Cheza Cheza Dance Foundation in Kibera where we had an early Christmas celebration and the children entertained us.

The link below shows some of the highlights of the event:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8hUEbe5Yrk&t=3s&ab_channel=JustToKickItIsABlessing%21

I would like to thank everyone that came forward to give me something to take to the foundation. Also, I would like to thank our different partners for making this event possible.

Finally, this video is not just here to show you what we did. The main purpose of this video is to inspire to make a difference in someone's life. Mahatma Gandhi once said, "Be the change you wish to see in the world."
