True Justice would be Ahmaud Arbery safely at home with his family this holiday season. As a mom, this guilty verdict sends the statement that a young man jogging in any community in Georgia should be able to arrive home safely, even if he is a young Black man. My heart and prayers go out to Ahmaud's family.
Honored to receive Fulton County Commissioner, Marvin Arrington, Jr. ‘s endorsement:
My dad, Marvin Arrington, Sr. served as President of the Atlanta City Council for 17 years. During that time, I watched him get up every morning to fight for the citizens of Atlanta. I see that same fight in Councilwoman Natalyn Archibong, which is why I proudly endorse her for Atlanta City Council President.

Yesterday, I stood on the debate stage, against my opponent, where we discussed the issues; and one thing was abundantly clear at the conclusion of the debate: I am the only candidate running for council president who will be ready for the job on day one.
Right now, our city needs a steady leader, with a track record of success at city hall to serve as our next city council president.
Before I launched my campaign, I thought about my 92 year old mom, my daughter who looks up to me, my 20 years of service on the Atlanta city council, and the incredible city that I have dedicated my life to making better.
I love Atlanta; and it is because of this love that I offer myself to serve.
Thank you to the thousands of people who believe in me. Your support means a lot.

Happening tomorrow at 9 am. Spread the word and tune in. Should be a great conversation.
Leaders and organizations across Atlanta are coalescing around our campaign for a government that works for "We the People."
AFSCME, the Georgia Federation of Public Service Employees, and the Atlanta Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF 134), just endorsed our campaign.
These labor unions which represent thousands of workers across Georgia are contributing their time, energy and money to help us win this election.
I've been elected 5 times with strong support from the labor community because they know that I stand with workers. From raising the minimum wage for City of Atlanta employees to fighting for community benefits agreements, I've stood with the labor community to fight for safer working conditions, workplace protections, affordable child care and a living wage.
Atlanta labor knows that Atlanta is safe and strong with Archibong. Early voting starts this WEDNESDAY.
This is my 92 year old mother—she was my first real friend and a great role model (note: the second picture is of my mom when she was a student at Spelman). She is a Spelman graduate, C’51, and she instilled in me the important fact that we have two hands for a reason—one to help ourselves, and one to help others.
When I decided to make my historic bid to run for atlanta city council president, I spoke with her about it. She supported my run. Now, in less than 20 days, she will have an opportunity to cast a ballot for her only daughter to become the city’s first female attorney council president.
I wouldn’t be where I am today without her; and for that I am most thankful. So today, and everyday, I give an incredible amount of thanks for her.
Honored to have my friend and Atlanta City Council colleague Marci Collier Overstreet’s endorsement of me for Atlanta City Council president.
When I started this journey as a city council person, over 20 years ago, I ran because my community needed me. Now, after being elected 5 times in a row and earning the nickname “Battlin’ Natalyn by tirelessly fighting for “we the people”, I run because our city needs a seasoned council president who can make our communities safer and our legislative arm stronger.
The council president position, formerly known as vice mayor of atlanta, is the second highest post in the city. It’s not a position for on the job training—but a position for someone with a great deal of experience to hit the ground running on Day 1.
I am the only candidate running for this office who has ever been elected to serve in city government, and who has served as a member of the legislative body that the Council President presides.
For an Atlanta that’s safe and strong, Vote Archibong for council president on Nov. 30, 2021. Please spread the word.

Thank you to the , , , and so the other organizations who hosted last nights forum for Atlanta City Council President. Here’s a clip from the event.
It’s been 22 years since you passed away, and nothing will fill the void. I miss you dad.
It is an immense honor to be endorsed by my colleague for Atlanta City Council President. Thank you for believing in my leadership.
A young man named Joseph was raised in DeKalb County graduating from Lithonia high. He volunteered for service in Vietnam rising in the ranks to Army Captain. On April 8, 1968, days from the scheduled end of his tour, he spotted a hand gr***de as he jumped off a helicopter. Thinking it had fallen from his flak jacket, he reached for it. At that moment his life forever changed. That man was Joseph Maxwell Cleland, also known as Senator Max Cleland, a decorated military veteran and beloved Georgia statesman. Senator Cleland made many sacrifices for our state and this nation. Georgians owe him a debt of gratitude for all he gave us. His passing is not just a loss for Georgia, but represents the loss of a dedicated advocate for all veterans.
