My experience with ADHD meds — mental health with marcie 14/08/2024

I can think clearly, without thoughts constantly racing through my brain, for the first time maybe ever. This is the day after I started medication for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Read the full blog: https://www.mentalhealthwithmarcie.com/blog/my-experience-with-adhd-meds.

Do I have ADHD? – mental health with marcie 11/07/2024

A psychiatrist recently diagnosed me with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), but all the typical ADHD symptoms—forgetting appointments, missing deadlines, being disorganized, being restless, having difficulty in school—I didn’t identify with any of them. What then were the signs my new psychiatrist was seeing that no one, not even me, had been able to recognize? And did I finally discover the key to my mental health recovery? Check out my latest blog to find out: https://mentalhealthwithmarcie.com/?p=288.

Is anyone else proud of themselves for ordering groceries? It's nearly impossible for me to actually go to the store, but even ordering groceries can be a daunting feat amidst a depressive episode. That's why I have a meal delivery kit service because food just shows up without me having to do anything. In any case, I'm proud of myself!

Sometimes you just fall in love with a piece of clothing, and you must have it. That's how I feel about this tokidoki sweatshirt that I got on my trip to Chicago last year. It makes me feel so cute, and that feeling is definitely not something to be taken for granted, especially when depression can often make you feel otherwise. I'm grateful to have this little piece of joy to light up my life.

My puppies bring so much joy to my life; I don't know what I'd do without them. From making me get out of bed to let them out to snuggling up to me when I'm feeling sad, my dogs are always improving my mental health. I highly recommend a furry friend if you struggle with a mental health condition.
