A unique piece of art that depicts a young African child under the protection of an elephant, with both elephant and child under the umbrella of a full moon.
Elephants are known to be one of the most intelligent, family oriented, socially intricate, and emotionally complex animals. Gifted with distinguished traits such as long retentive memory that helps them remember individual people, ability to empathize, their understanding of death, loyalty, etc.

With the moon being an embodiment of the pan-African sense of time and the elephant hovering over the child, the artist showcases the importance of elders in our community, their experience, their protective nature, and how wisdom/core values are passed down generations through adequate nurture and care.

Warthog & Bull Bone carved bottle openers - Available now at Imisi House.

These uniquely carved bottle openers are made from ethically sourced and sanitized warthog tusk or bull bone, both of which would otherwise be discarded.

Using ancient trimming techniques and traditional styles, the tusk or bone is cut, carved, and polished to create distinctive designs. The warthog tusk openers are meticulously hand-polished to achieve a satin gloss finish, while the bull bone openers feature intricate carvings of African animals and are paired with wood bases and tops.
By up-cycling these natural resources, these openers contribute to eco-friendly initiatives. Each piece is handcrafted with attention to detail, resulting in unique, one-of-a-kind items.

Available in four different styles—Lion, Elephant, Giraffe, and Rhino—each order includes one opener.

Made of upcycled material, tap into the Nguni spirit of open range with our bull horn tabletop piece. Our rustic big five collection is made from authentic bull horn cut, carved, put on a sleek wood base, and polished with beautiful colors – White, Brown, and Black.

African artisans collect discarded bull horns from local butcheries and give them new life as beautiful adornments. This edition also has the Africa’s Big Five animals carved on it. Made in South Africa.
