At the beginning wild thing was a pose that I hate! Maybe because my heart wasn’t really open and I wasn’t understanding how to do it! Now it feels so good and I always insert this pose in my daily practice.

🚨Hip Flexor Strengthening 🚨
People used to prescribe hip flexor stretches to “loosen” tight hip flexors without first determining if the hip flexors actually need to be stretched. Nowadays we know better and don’t automatically assume something that feels tight is actually tight and needs to be stretched without first doing an assessment on the length of the hip flexor musculature.
💯Disclaimer: If you want to know if the hip flexors are truly tight & you need to stretch them, look at the Thomas test (2nd slide) & do this test on yourself. If they aren’t shortened, it’s time to strengthen!💯
↪️So what’s the alternative?
🔴Learning to control the hip flexors through various ranges of motion has been known to reduce the feeling of perceived tightness.
🔴These simple banded exercises challenge the hip flexors in multiple ways -isometrically, eccentrically and concentrically.
(The bands I’m using are from just FYI and you can actually save 10% on any of their stuff with my code “thephysiofix” 😊)
Pro Tip: I put the short lever exercises first as these are easier than the long lever variations which makes them a good place to start building strength. Longer levers = more load to the hip flexors = harder:
1️⃣ Banded Supine Short Lever Psoas Kickouts
2️⃣ Banded Supine Short Lever Psoas March
3️⃣ Banded Glute Bridge with Short Lever Psoas March
4️⃣ Banded Hand Plank with Short Lever Psoas March
5️⃣ Banded Standing Short Lever Psoas March
6️⃣ Banded Supine Long Lever Psoas Kickdowns
7️⃣ Banded Supine Long Lever Psoas Lifts
8️⃣ Banded Standing Long Lever Psoas Lifts
🔴These are challenging exercises but I believe adding some of these to your workout routine will end up being way more beneficial than just stretching/foam rolling/ball smashing your hip flexors.

Today’s mobility workout was a juicy way to cement some compound lifts as well as warming me up for my advanced skill based drills like inversions and QDR’s. It felt great to have a nice long movement session while slightly baking under the sun, just me, my movements, my breath while tapping into my depth and limits.

This blissful feeling when I finished creating my first yoga classes today 🕊
I am proud to say that I finally offer in person and online yoga classes with meditation & journaling practices 🖋
A couple months ago I would never have imagined I would graduate as a yoga teacher, and even less that I would teaching the yoga classes I would love to go to 🌿
I surprised myself there, and I can honestly say that I am proud of myself, which is an amazing place to be in 🧘🏽♀️
I can’t wait to share the joy with you during my classes 🥂
In the meantime, find something that you have done today, yesterday, last week or even this summer and that you can be proud of.
Because you should be proud of you 🫵🏽

Do you love practising yoga? Is yoga your go-to practice every day?
It is very important to practice yoga joyfully at the same time maintaining seriousness towards your practice.
There are a few things to keep in mind if you are a regular practitioner :
1. Be consistent - The results you want to see highly depend on how regular you are with your practice. Regularity means everyday!
2. Yoga space - Practice yoga every day at the same place. This creates energy field that supports your transformation. Remember to keep it clean and tidy.
3. Meal gaps - You can practice anytime during the day as long as you are not on a full stomach. Remember to keep a gap of 3 hours between your meal and practice. If you have eaten a fruit, keeping a gap of 1.5-2 hours is enough 😊
Yoga is not just a physical practice but our spiritual sadhana which will help us lead a life closer to divinity. We should be mindful of little things when we practice. 😊
Tell us in the comments section, what all do you keep in mind while doing your practice?

It all starts with awareness of your subconscious patterns
Because awareness give you the ability to respond consciously
And thereby the ability to choose
The ability to choose the new dirt road instead of the old patterns
Keep driving on those dirt roads until they become solid!

🕉 It's much better to perceive a defect in yourself, than dozens in the other, because your defect you can change.

Yoga allows a deep dive into our Being. Practice will polish us until we realize what we truly are, with all our power, light and shadows. It is being free to feel, to perceive and truly be what we are and no longer what we were conditioned to be.

A number of studies have shown that yoga may help reduce stress and anxiety. Yoga can enhance your mood and overall sense of well-being. Yoga might also help you manage your symptoms of depression and anxiety that are due to difficult situations.✨
There are many different ways to cope with stress. Talking with friends, exercising, and seeing a school counselor are just a few. Yoga can help reduce stress because it promotes relaxation, which is the natural opposite of stress. Yoga can benefit three aspects of ourselves that are often affected by stress: our body, mind, and breathing.✨
You don't have to wait to feel stressed out to do yoga, and you shouldn't! People who do a little bit of yoga each day often find they're better able to handle things when life gets a little crazy. Practicing yoga builds your ability to calm, focus, balance, and relax yourself.✨sacredwalksbyuni

Been re-evaluating my relationship with social media lately, and it's been really good for me.
Sometimes I get so caught up with "keeping up" that I forget to pay attention to what matters and what I value.
Just something silly and fun I've been thinking about this summer 😛
What are your tips for maintaining a healthy relationship with social media?
I think my number one is to regularly declutter your following/follower list. I do it at least once every season.
