UM ATO IMPORTANTE PARA A HISTÓRIA DO VIOLINO.

O primeiro violino real data de 1564. Ele foi ordenado por Catarina de Médici para seu filho Carlos IX. O instrumento é então classificado como um instrumento da corte real, enquanto, anteriormente, era usado apenas em festivais populares.
Graças a este reconhecimento, a oficina de Amati conquista uma grande reputação no meio. Seus filhos e netos continuam os negócios da família e ensinam aos outros luthiers o know-how da profissão.

Do you know who Montervid was?

Montervid was a composer, violinist, singer and Catholic priest, whose works are often considered revolutionary and mark the transition between Renaissance and Baroque styles.

Born in Cremona, Italy
Montervid helped popularize the instrument (Violin) in the 17th century.

With his work Orpheus, he conquered the upper classes, which was fundamental for the success of the time.
He also wrote one of the first operas in the history of music, L'Orfeu, an innovative work that integrates the repertoire of orchestras to this day.

THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE VIOLIN IN THE COURTS

One of the most interesting curiosities about the violin is that, soon after its emergence on the musical scene, the instrument was not well accepted in palace and church events.
That's because the sound caused strangeness due to the strident and high-pitched sound. In this phase of history, the viola was considered the most suitable and pleasant to be played in courts and celebrations.
Public acceptance only took place around 1555, when Catherine de Medici, the Italian noblewoman who became queen of France, commissioned several violins to accompany a French court music group.
Like countless other instruments, the violin is an ancient invention that continues to delight audiences to this day. Throughout history, however, it has faced many challenges and has evolved in its shape and way of manufacturing. In this way, the curiosities about the violin are numerous and survive in time and in the memory of music lovers.
