🙈 Embracing the Awkwardness: 10 Learning Frustrations We All Make (But Don't Have To!)
Learning can be a rollercoaster ride, and let's face it, we've all been guilty of making a few cringeworthy mistakes along the way. But fear not, because we're here to shed some light on those common blunders and help you navigate through the frustrations that come with learning. So, sit back, relax, and let's dive into this list of learning mistakes you've gotta avoid:
1. 😫 Not asking for a helping hand when you're stuck in the learning quicksand. Don't let pride get in the way of seeking support from others who can lend a helping hand or a wise word.
2. 🐢 Expecting the speed of light and getting discouraged when progress takes its sweet time. Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day, so keep hustling and trust the process!
3. 🤯 Giving up faster than a squirrel distracted by shiny things. Learning can be challenging, but don't throw in the towel too soon! Put in the effort, channel your inner Rocky Balboa, and knock those challenges out of the ring.
4. 📉 Comparing your progress to others and feeling like a potato in a world full of French fries. Hey, stop right there! Remember, everyone has their own journey. Focus on your growth, and don't let comparison steal your sparkle.

It's the best investment ever!
And you never know when an opportunity will present itself to grab your money.
“6 Things I think everyone should do in their 20s

3. Learn to write
4. Prioritize platonic friendships
5. Disappoint your parents
6. Do one thing that scares you”

The days you don’t want to do something.
Are the days you need to suck it up and do it anyway.
I am wondering, are we living on the same planet?
Because last time I check out ChatGPT, it failed to accept or send a lot of data. So how are some developers claiming it can write novels?
Like 120-300,000 words? Seriously? I tinkered with the ChatGPT API, and it just doesn't work that way.
And the amount of fake AI news is astounding. Everybody trying to lure a quick click for their made up article?
Subscribe to newsletter at https://www.igelsparks.com it’s free.
They say Fake it till you make it.
I say: That's probably illegal.
But simulation is OK.
Sometimes, when a scammer calls me about a great investment opportunity and asks: Is now a good time, I am really tempted...
To say: Yeah, I got time to kill, just as I did the salesman before you.
I find that if I am negotiating and have all the card in my hand and nothing to lose, that I rarely beat up the other party. I just passively decline all offers, till they capitulate. No need to burn that energy if there is nothing to win...
People are always talking about AI, ChatGPT, etc. Yet nobody is talking about taking out the digital trash.
We have so much digital trash data, digital trash applications, spreadsheets, websites, etc. Digital space is cheap for now, but it requires electricity.
Blockchain emphasized the problem.
We are unable to take care of physicall trash, but we are making huge piles of digital trash as we speek. Somebody should raise an alarm about that...
The more I age, the more I read, watch Youtube, listen to audible books, the more I become convinced that college is an Intelectual Lobotomy.
People are lobotomized to thinkg a certain way, to repeat indoctrination theories and to write silly stuff nobody needs. Payed torture?
People are illegaly buying toads to get high?
I really don't know, should I be disgusted or trying to see it as a business opportunity to grow toads... Or both?
Apparently there seems to be a cheap drug against Alzheimers.
It's called Menthol.
So, if you are an avid Mojito drinker, you are medicating against Alzheimers?
AI and ChatGPT is on the verge...
Of decline...
People don't like the AI graphics, hate reading the AI generated text and don't understand what AI really is.
So why all the hype? Did the Excell cause a hype when it came out? A bit, but people still used the old qbooks or whatever it was called.
So, No. World will move one. Some will use AI, some won't.
Believe me, some people don't have a mail or phone, And they live in western world. They just don't have the wires to do it. And the signal there is weak.
So AI is great helper for some. But not to majority. All the hype is just that - a hype.
It will get better, but never perfect.
Because people like the wittines, the deeper meaning the imperfections. We are just wired that way. Good riddance. Or else content creators and many other people would be out of jobs :)
Did you hear the rule of 100?
You should not look at the results before you do 100 repetitions. Because you shouldn't take the intermediate results as results.
Sounds great. But there's a twist.
Don't take that 100 repetition rule too seriously. The results are a bit skewed, but if nothing is happening by the 30/60 repetition, you might be doing something wrong.
So in my view, rule of 100 is a good one, but take a look at the numbers too (a bit) and probably hire a motivation coach. Even a cheap one can help.
That's a wrap!

I always wanted an MBA, even when I was in high school. I was lucky to do an online one and only pay 12,000 USD.
No, I wouldn't do it all over again. I would have invested in more audible books and a business coach and would be way better off.
MBAs are mostly a scam. The only benefit is, if you can build some good connections there. But that part is not called Executive MBA and cost around 200.000 USD per year.
For the rest, buy the audlible or book from Josh Kaufman The Personal MBA. Better output on the dollar.
I did dropshipping for a month. Was Horrible. Had to kill it. 500 USD minus.
I may be stupid, but I failed to see the point of selling a customer a product that would arrive in 21 days, that is sh*tty and costs a dollar for 15 dollars.
That and facebook killed my ad. Thank riddance, or I would lose even more money.
Whenever I hear dropshipping is an easy business, I turn away and check my wallet. Go mollest some other suckers, not me.
I mean the concept is OK. But the whole dropshipping universe is a scam. I was ordering xmas products, that had a lead time of 20-30 days.
And the prime time for selling them was 14 days. And you had to offer free shipping and free returns. Just doesn't compute in my world. But hey, most guys that got rich, got rich of dropshipping courses(!) online.
Looking for a way to boost your relationships? Surprisingly, science shows that sending flowers can help! Not only do they increase happiness and reduce anxiety, but they also improve trust and closeness in relationships. Plus, the act of gifting flowers can have a lasting impact on the recipient's memory, stimulate positive emotions, and even produce feel-good chemicals in the brain. Not to mention, flowers can act as a symbol of appreciation and gratitude and can even diffuse tense situations. So next time you're looking to strengthen a relationship, consider sending a bouquet of flowers!
I have an MBA, PHD, LLM, but I still don't get it how 50 USD per month is going to make me a millionaire in 15 years.
Because from what I understood from studying inflation, 50 USD per month, if invested properly, will only retain its real value in 15 years.
If done averagely, lost 50%, if invested poorly lost 85%.
So why not invest in me? In my education and improve my chances to earn more? Because that 50 USD seem to me have no real consequence on my retirements whatsoever.
But funny thing is, I get a call 3 x per month for somebody selling me some financial products. Have we become so financially illiterate that we cannot see a longterm scam? The investment houses live on brokerage fees. They are the only ones whi will benefit in 15 years time...
I have a friend, known him around 15 years or so. Sometimes he tells me about his business - he's a realtor.
Sometimes I offer unsolicited advice.
Once he got really pi**ed and yelled at me: Why do you always have to be so damn pessimistic.
I paused. I said I was sorry. And that I hoped I was wrong.
He came back, apologizing. I was not wrong. He lost the deal and some money on top of it.
Are you happy, he asked, demotivated, Being always right.
I poured a glass of rum for both, sat down, took a sip.
I Am not, i said, I wished I was wrong so many times, but I am not. Human nature is what it is. I wish you proved me wrong.
He took a sip, said nothing. He knew I wished him well, but sometimes things are just so that there is no other option.
It is the same with those people who are always unlucky. They always find a way to invest into a stupid deal, loan, friend or a job. Why?
As I went to college, I had different types of professors. I remember an odd one. Strict, hard, a real pain in the ass.
Years later, I kind on got into his class on another subject. Yeah, it was about a girl - I regretted it later.
One time he was in a "good mood". He told a story about him travelling to Italy and visiting an old lunatic asylum.
On the gate it said something like "Most of you are still on the outside".
I remembered looking at him and thinking: Jeez, A pain and a loonie.
But the truth be told, not every man or woman in the psychic ward is a complete loonie. And not every man or woman outside is completely sane.
And most of the times, it is a matter or circumstances and perspective, who gets locked up. And who gets cheered as the new trendsetter.
When I was a kid, my mother always pesked me: Don't do that, what will the neigbhours say?
I hated that phrase! I hated it so much. What should they say?
Years later, I came back to my home town for a couple of years as a consultant. Those neigbhours came to me for advice and told me stories.
I got to know what "they would say".
Nothing! Absolutely nothing. They had enough of their own worries to go around. Why would they bother about me?
Truth be told, they were such a mess I had often to double check if they payed some small fee on time or not.
Nobody cares! Sometimes not even about themselves!
That's a wrap!
