“We serve you, God!”
Those were the words I heard my wife sing out, from the back of the platform, as she’s playing guitar.
Her words brought me to tears, because those were words truly from her heart.
Even when she’s not leading from the front, she’s still leading.
Worship is not what she does, it’s who she is.
Whether in the car, or cleaning the kitchen, she is worshipping.
I only wish I could have the heart of worship she has.
For almost 20 years, she has dedicated her life to this, and I am still humbled and honored to be a part of her journey.
Proud of you babe. (Old picture, not from today.)
When deciding your goals for 2024, flip the script and ask yourself what you would like to STOP doing vs. what you want to start doing.
Who here has heard of that starts in January??
Sometimes, when you’re traveling for work, you just need to do your best with what you’ve got for your nutrition.
Here’s a couple of nutrition tips for when it comes to traveling.
Tip #1: Keep it lean and high protein the majority of the time. When I mean “lean” I mean low fat and/or low carb. This meal is 70g of protein and less than 500 calories. This gives me PLENTY of margin for lunch and dinner to have a little fun, but still intentional to get the rest of my protein in.
Tip #2: Follow the 2x2 rule. Don’t eat two “relaxed” meals in a row, and don’t go more than 2 days in a row without getting some form of physical activity in. 1 relaxed meal is easy to manage, but 2 quickly turns into 3, and 3 into 4, etc. Same with your exercise, 1 rest day quickly turns into 2, and 2 into 3; you get the idea. Physical activity could be finding the closest gym for a quick workout or going on a 20 min walk.
Tip #3: track your food. Don’t deprive yourself from enjoying life, but maintain awareness around what you’re eating and how much. The measurements or specifics do NOT have to be exact, but the act of simply tracking something holds you accountable.
More nutrition tips to come over the rest of my trip!
THE NEED FOR SELF DISCIPLINE
Time and time again, the Bible is very clear about how important hard things are in the walk of a Christian; discipline, long suffering, abstinence, fasting, and much more.
If you squeeze a lump of coal with your hands for a couple seconds, you’re not going to get much out of it other than dirty hands. BUT, put the coal under immense pressure, give it enough time and have enough patience, and you will have a diamond that is far more valuable than dirty hands.
When we look at hard things, todays society has trained us to run away, look away, take the easy route, and find a detour. But Gods way says that we need to embrace the difficulties in life, seek after hard things, and submit ourselves to the suffering, so that, in time, we can reap a harvest that ultimately brings God glory.
So, whether that hard thing is sticking it out in a difficult season of marriage, getting to the gym to help get you healthier, or fighting through a life threatening diagnosis, keep running the race. Don’t give up. Keep moving forward. Because, at the end of our suffering, and when we keep our sights on things above, we leave a Legacy far greater that what any earthly person could ever leave; we leave the Legacy of Christ. The eternal legacy. The legacy that was, and is, and will always be.
“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.”
1 Corinthians 9:24-27 NIV
What will your Legacy be?
Our journey doesn’t always look like a straight line.
The Bible is very clear the role physical fitness and training should play in our life.
Physical training and discipline is a pathway to becoming more Christ-like.
The disciplining of our bodies is truly a form of worship to God.
Romans 12:1-2
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Our flesh is weak, and our mind, being of our flesh, is also weak. Physical training and discipline is path towards physical and mental freedom in this life. Even when we don’t want too, we do it anyway.
1 Corinthians 9:27
“No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.”
But, something that is of value can easily become something of an idol. When we begin to value physical fitness higher than spiritual fitness, though we may be mistreated disciplined and more fit, we as a whole being are out of order. Even other religions speak to the importance of the balance of thr “flesh” man and “spirit” man.
1 Timothy 4:8
“For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.”

Faith, Family, Fitness, Service.
What motivates you?
For me, it is those four things above.
My belief in something greater. My love for my family, by blood and by choice. My dedication to being the best version of myself possible. My purpose behind all that I do, to serve others.
There’s more too nutrition than just the intellectual do’s and do not’s of “proper nutrition”.
Without a fundamental desire of moving people further away from disease, any dietary recommendations are moot.
Why should someone do keto?
Why should someone do intermittent fasting?
Why should someone do prolonged fasting?
Why should someone even track their calories?
How do these different strategies move them further from disease and why?
The most important aspect of any nutrition program needs be the simplicity and sustainability of the principles taught, so we can ensure the journey away from disease.
If a nutrition program or diet didn’t work for you, it most likely didn’t take your lifestyle and preferences in mind. That’s not your fault.
If that same program didn’t provide you an exit strategy, or a way to continue eating after the program was over to maintain your results, and you gained the weight back, that’s not your fault.
There is a fine line between providing effective methods at an affordable price, and giving just enough information to make a quick buck without proper strategies being taught for sustainability and longevity.
Members of VAULT Nutrition aren’t paying for a product or program, they are paying for a result. I coach people through a proven system of nutrition built upon Principles, not dieting strategies, that give my clients the knowledge they need for life, and help them develop a long term plan for nutrition success for all seasons of life.
Would you like to hear more about those principles?
I often look back on old posts and reminisce on who I was, what I’ve done, and look back to see a path for the future.
This time around, the feels hit quite a bit different.
It makes me quite sad, to be honest.
To think about who I was then, is to admit how far I have slid backwards, mentally, physically, & spiritually.
To think about what I accomplished then, is to admit what I have not accomplished recently.
To think about the man I tried to be for Chelsea, and to see the man I had become makes me sad in the deepest parts of my soul.
But, to see where I am now, shows me how far I have come in my recovery.
Back then, my motivation was avoidance.
To avoid the necessity to make room for the easy.
Training was easy for me. Getting stronger was easy for me.
Being funny, clever, witty, and enjoyable was easy for me.
But I was hiding; I was hiding my real self from the people that I loved most. I was hiding and avoiding my addictions because I didn’t have the courage to face them.
I thought that if I just accomplished enough, or got lean enough, or strong enough, or big enough, then I would have what it takes to FINALLY kick my addictions. That was a lie.
My addiction to lust and po*******hy warped every thought that come through my mind.
It shaped my thoughts, which shaped my words and actions, which shaped my relationships.
I was lazy because of shame.
I was irresponsible because of shame.
I was a shadow of who I was meant to be because of shame.
But, God…
Through love and grace, He never stopped putting people in my path to help remind me who I needed and WANTED to be. That there is better things out there for me. That I am capable of breaking free from the shackles of p**n addiction.
I am a testament to what can be done when you hit the proverbial “rock bottom” and have no other choice but to make a way out.
P**n addiction is real and p**n addiction ruins lives.
I am just so grateful that mine was not one of them.
21 years ago, I was exposed to p**n for the first time, and 11 weeks I ago I made a commitment to myself, and it has been the best thing I have ever done.
How can I help you?
**naddictionrecovery
When the principles are dialed, the results are simple in all stages of the journey.
Stray too far from the fundamentals, and the path gets trippy.
12 years down, and a life time to go...
I love helping people, and I won't till I help 1,000,000 people with their fitness and nutrition.
For many months now, I have been on a journey of recovery from many addictions in my life, all of which I will be sharing in depth about what I’ve been struggling with and what I have been learning along the way.
One pivotal piece of my journey to recovery has been prayer & fasting.
Unfortunately, fasting has become this taboo thing that you might do to lose weight or be “healthier”, which are all very valid ideas, but what doesn’t get talked about is the frequency and repetition of God telling us to pray AND fast.
Fasting is mentioned over 70 times in the Bible.
Fasting is about the reduction of oneself to make way for increase of God.
On this fasting journey, I have struggled with my mindset of not getting protein in and “losing muscle”, thinking about which meals I will and won’t eat next, working through demons late in the evening, coming up with every reason why I shouldn’t fast, and what I’m giving up by not eating.
And all of those things pale in comparison with the revelations I’ve had from the times I have been fasting.
If you haven’t dabbled in fasting, I encourage to start by doing a few things…
1. Easiest first step is to just replace your breakfast with time reading the Bible and praying.
2. Drink plenty of water and make sure you use electrolytes (pink salt and potassium will be fine).
3. Work up to a full day of fasting and praying, and make sure that you take social media, or any other distractions, off your phone and truly read and pray.
You will experience struggle, hunger, and you will battle demons. Good. Go to war with yourself and fight till you come out the other side.
Hello everyone!
Thank you for liking my page.
As a coach and entrepreneur, I am always looking for ways to add value to others, through content creation, coaching programs, and simply just sharing my own experiences.
In an effort to streamline everything, I will be very intentional with what I will be sharing on both my Nutrition Coaching page as well as here. Obviously, my personal page will remain whatever I desire to share, but if some of you desire to not see or read what I share, no hard feelings, you can still get the stuff you desire to read about through the other pages and platforms and just unfriend me!
My “Jayme Olson” page will be focused on my own personal experiences around personal growth and development, entrepreneurship, and all things food and cooking ☺️
My “FITR Nutrition” page will be focused on free content that you can begin implementing to start transforming your body and life through nutrition.
Thank you all, and I look forward to providing more and more value for you all!
29 rotations on this earth and it’s taken me this long to learn that it’s not about what other people say needs to be done to be [Insert common desire here], it’s about understanding who you are and taking action through your strengths that leads to the greatest upside in your life.
~~~~~
Whether that be “success”, “happiness”, “love”, however you may define those things or your other desires… understanding and learning who you are on the inside is the greatest thing you can do for yourself to accomplish all that you desire.
~~~~~
Stop trying to shove your round peg into a square hole.
No matter what you desire in this life, living through your strengths is the key.
~~~~~
I’m not a super organized person, so I focus on creating systems that help me manage my business better.
~I AM a future focused person. I can help people see a brighter and more detailed future for themselves than they may be able to see for themselves.
~I can come up with ideas and solutions faster and more effectively than it takes someone to make a business plan.
~I see value in things that other people may see as useless or pointless, and that one thing could be life changing.
~I see more in people than they may ever see in themselves and I challenge them to bring the best out of themselves.
~I see dots and connections between things that others may never see in their life. Like understanding the connection between ones strength and how those apply to how they should approach their nutrition.
Stop trying to be like other people and start focusing on being yourself.
If I’m being perfectly honest, I have massively lacked the follow through i expect of myself in my own nutrition.
~~~~~
In the beginning of my career, I touted and preached the same jargon that so many of my “competitors” have, claiming that perfect nutrition is the way to the body you dream of, and that if you can’t do it, you simply lack discipline
Boy, was I wrong.
I learned, grew, and coached others through the same revelations.
~~~~~
Although, for years now, I have coached countless people to massive body composition changes with what is the most healthy and balanced approach to nutrition you will ever learn, I have recently held myself to that same, old school, unrealistic expectation of perfection, and my health and physique has suffered massively because of it.
~~~~~
For months now I have hid from my clients, thinking that if they saw that I’ve gained weight, haven’t been training as much as I use too, and haven’t been “walking the walk” that it will compromise my “legitimacy” as an effective coach. And, that could not have been further from the truth.
~~~~~
I got away from what I believed in, and my health suffered for it.
I stopped doing myself what I coach others through, and my physique suffered for it.
I stopped following my proven method of nutrition, and sure enough, I started going backwards.
~~~~~
When I stopped following a method designed specifically for me, and started on a “perfect” nutrition plan, NOT designed specifically for me, with my dieting history, my goals, my lifestyle factors, and dietary preferences taken into consideration, is when I stopped seeing the results that I wanted to see and actually ENJOYING the food I was eating.
~~~~~
What boat are you in?
Sustainability, or restriction?
How’s your journey going?
Too much handsome for one picture, he needs three different angles.
This little guy has seriously become my best friend ❤️ makes life a whole lot more fun. doodle
I will happily represent
Jesus paid it all with those
Men, choose a woman who follows her beliefs and convictions with her whole heart.
A woman who surrounds herself with people who love, encourage, and motivate her to be her best self.
A woman who seeks to serve instead of being served.
A woman who is never afraid to give of herself to others who are in need.
A woman who sacrifices, endlessly for what she believes in.
A woman who is an amazing leader, because a woman who leads well knows how to follow.
A woman who does what is needed, not what is comfortable.
A woman who is not afraid to fail, but fails gracefully.
A woman who has a mother who is admirable and honorable, because she was her example.
A woman with a father who knows how to lead, because that’s where she learned to follow and trust.
A woman that basically describes everything that Chelsea is, but you can’t have her cuz she’s already taken 🤣
***Less is More***
This is one of the driving principles in The FITR Nutrition Method of coaching.
Less complexity.
Less restriction.
Less confusion.
Less unrealistic expectations.
Instead, we focus on more.
More food freedom.
More macronutrient flexibility.
More focus on the positives of progress through the journey, instead of focusing on the failures of the past and present.
We don't remove, we add.
We don't remove your favorite foods, we add awareness of where and when those foods fit best in your day/week.
We don't say "I can't eat this", we say " I want this, but I'd rather eat this because..." or "I want this, but i'm going to eat it at this time.."
We don't remove whole food groups or restrict ourselves to only certain times of day like with the Keto Diet or Intermittent Fasting. Instead, we focus on why those diets work in the short term, and apply those principle in a way that creates a long term, effective, and sustainable method of nutrition for yourself.
The hardest step in the journey to a new and healthier you is the first step.
Big things coming in the future 💪🏻👍🏻🙏🏻🙌🏻
Welcome to the World little ones 🥰 Uncle Jayme loves you very much! You two are a fulfillment of grace. 2 & 2 ❤️
There is a special place all 5 of these kids have in my heart that will forever be theirs.
There is something that shifts inside of you when your siblings bring new life into the world; a pride, love, and respect for your siblings for what they did.
There also comes a sense of responsibility. I AM these kids uncle. A special title to not be taken lightly. I have a responsibility to be there for them and their parents, when no one else will.
To play with and love these kids like no one else will. I have the opportunity to be one of the most influential figures in these kids lives. I have the opportunity to encourage them to love and respect their parents as they get older, even if they don’t like them.
When society wants to ruin families, I pray that I have the courage and opportunity to be there for these kids and my family when I am needed.
I pray that these kids grow up knowing how much I love them, no matter the distance.
These kids are my blood; my family.
These kids drive me to do more, learn more, accomplish more, so I can see them more.
and I love all 5 of you so freaking much.
Whats up everyone!!!
I am creating this page as a way to keep my business and personal life a little more separate. Id like to keep this page to fitness and nutrition focused information, where as my personal will be more personal information and posts!!
