Christmas is coming to Georgetown! ⭐️🎄⭐️ The Fourth Annual Christmas in Georgetown Handmade Craft Fair is just THREE DAYS away, and I’m super excited to be returning as a vendor this year. There will be swag bags for the first fifty guests, not to mention the awesome talent behind all of those tables! Did you know I often only use three colours in my watercolour paintings? I use a red, a yellow and a blue to mix all my secondaries and tertiaries - even browns and blacks! Every once in a while I will add a fourth colour to the palette for some more depth and opacity. Using this type of palette keeps all your colours neat, clean and bright! 🎨

Use and development of yoga has been documented as far back as 5000 years, but research suggests that this spiritual practice may be up to twice as old. While there is really no telling how many different yoga postures there are, one of the most recognizable poses out there (if not the most) is the tree. Strong and sturdy, but flexible trees stand as they draw nutrients from their roots. They always urge us to channel that strong yet calm, stoic yet playful energy from their spirits and draw upon the nourishment from the earth at our feet. 🌳 🌏

I’m trying a bit of a looser sketching style with pen. Pen is a great medium to practice with because whatever is on the paper, you have to accept and commit to. There are no such things as mistakes! 💪🏼
