Hi friends,
How are you all?
Let me introduce myself. I am Rupa Kulkarni, Weight Management
Consultant from Vadodara.
Today I am going to talk about the meaning of Weight Management, what
exactly does it mean, its importance, its benefits and effects in our day to
day life.
So firstly, what does weight management mean? Does it only mean losing
weight? No. Weight management is the process of adopting long-term
lifestyle modification to maintain a healthy body weight on the basis of
a person's age, s*x and height. Methods of weight management include
eating a healthy diet and increasing physical activity levels.
Many people adapt methods like fasting, gym.,etc. But in reality, weight
management can be done only by following some easy diet tips, doing
regular exercise like walking, yog on regular basis.
Maintaining a healthy weight is important for health. To mention a few
health benefits of maintaining appropriate weight are - it decreases risk
diseases like cancer, diabetics, heart related issues, stroke and so on.
Also maintaining proper weight has many health advantages like better
sleep, decreased stress, greater confidence, improved energy level, active
social life and so on.
You all must be thinking as to why I have chosen weight management as
my profession. The reason behind this is, I was also over weight in the
past and faced a lot of health issues which further lead to fatigue and I kept
myself away from all the activities and social life. Then one day on my
friends advice, I joined weight loss programme and found it very interesting
and followed all the tips given in the sessions and to my surprise, I got
unbelievable positive results and I could overcome all my health issues,
fatigue and now I am here to guide you all and make your life also a
healthy, happy, disease free life.
Here are some of the healthy weight loss tips for you to start with. First
set your weight loss journey goals, calculate calorie needs, reduce calories,
regular exercise, maintain weight loss journal, get support.
These are some of the tips towards weight management. However,
