I am so proud of these! No this is not my own pattern. These were made following a video tutorial from Crystal of Bag 'O Day Crochet.
The reason I am so proud of these, is that, 3-4 years ago, when I first tried to make these, I wasn't able to. I was only able to make it to the first row of the crocodile stitches, and that was it. I couldn't see where I was supposed to put those stitches, and I got so frustrated, that I just put it away, hoping that I would be able to finish it "Someday". Looking back, I realize I never really thought that "Someday" would come. But now, I can proudly say that "Someday" has come!
I was going through my yarn, and came across the WIP I had started of these gloves, and decided to try it again. So I pulled up that video, and tried. And it was crazy how much simpler it was this time versus when I tried a few years ago! I hadn't even realized how much I had grown as a crocheter until the moment I reached the same point in the video that I had had trouble with before, and was able to move past it with no issues.
And, not only was I able to make this pair of crocodile stitch fingerless gloves, I was able to modify the pattern in 2 different ways! And going off of those modified patterns, I'm starting to write my very own pattern! I'm so excited, because I never thought that I would reach a point where I was actually writing my own patterns!
