Another successful event! Honored to support our local law-enforcement, first responders and public safety personnel this past weekend at the “Saluting Those Who Serve” UF football game. With the support of our generous sponsors, we were able to provide 300 meals to our local public safety personnel working the event.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciate to the following sponsors, without their support this event would not be possible.

Jacqui Knowles, Realtor
Lake Area McDonald's

Scorpio.
Southeast Car Agency

Also, thank you to Top Hog BBQ for preparing all of the meals for the event.

Our Gainesville community recognizes the sacrifices made by our public safety personnel on a daily basis. Their dedication, courage and selflessness are a testament to their unwavering commitment to protect and serve. We salute these heroes for their sacrifices and tireless efforts and look forward to continuing this tradition in 2024!

Hello again everyone! The last of the money from the fundraiser went to serving 300 meals to the Gainesville Police Department, Alachua County Sheriffs Office, Florida Highway Patrol, and other first responders that were working the Samford vs The University of Florida gators. We'd like to give a special thank you to Jacqui Knowles, Realtor for securing a tent on the lawn of the stadium so we could hand out the meals.

Thank you once again to everyone who donated and helped in making this possible.

Here is the final video from us here at Lunch For Law Enforcement. The goal of this trip was to encourage regular people to do any small thing to show police officers that their are people who care for them and appreciate the work that they do.

I hope that we inspired you to show your local police officers you appreciate them.

Thank you to everyone that contributed and followed the journey 💙

With great sadness I was informed recently that a member of the Kalamazoo Sheriff's Office, one of the Departments I recently visited providing lunch, was killed in the line of duty. Sgt. Ryan Proxmire was shot by a gunman on Aug 14th who opened fire from his car during a pursuit. Sgt Proxmire later succumbed to his injuries. The gunman was later killed by responding deputies who returned fire after being shot at by the suspect. Sgt. Proxmire is survived by his wife of fifteen years and the couple's four children.

Having met many of the members of the Kalamazoo Sheriff's Office on my trip, I could not help but feel a connection with the Agency who were so gracious to me and appreciative of the lunch provided to them. A $500 gift card for food was given to the family from extra donations raised for the Lunch for Law Enforcement fund. The family has set up a fundraiser using the Collin Rose Memorial Foundation which has tax exempt status. If you are interested in making a donation please be sure to denote Proxmire on the donation page. Here is the link: https://www.collinrosememorial.org/

Thank you all for following along the journey this far! we have a little more to show so stay tuned!

Thank you The Stupid Cow Cafe for catering for the Spokane Police Department! In the first photo you'll see the owner of The Stupid Cow Dave Daily, with blue jeans and sunglasses in the middle, and to either side of Dave you'll see his workers. The Stupid Cow brought out their old truck which they converted into a cooker. It's very cool! I've never seen anything like it.

If you're in the Spokane area then be sure to visit The Stupid Cow Cafe!
