FIRST BAND ANNOUNCEMENT

Wooden Veins [WDN:VNS], formed in 2019 by Chilean musicians mostly based in European countries, engages in classic melodic doom metal, combining it with progressive and gothic elements, exploring even further as they bring more heaviness and even Latin flavour into their sound.

Personal connection: we got to know drummer Alberto Atalah more than a decade ago when we shared an actual underground stage in Mechelen! Welcome back.

With this year coming to an end, we would like to thank everyone who was involved in any way helping us, from streaming to buying merchandise, making reviews or commenting on our social media platforms.

“… habla sobre sueños, muerte y cambio”, Imploding Waves es un disco que en parte esencial habla de la muerte por mano propia, vale decir por suicidio. Más allá de metáforas y enmascaramientos, tras los textos se encuentran reflexiones en torno a este fenómeno, donde si bien temas como Skies y Calling dan vueltas sobre esto, es The Dreamer la canción en la que lo abordo de manera más íntima, en cuyo texto van palabras a alguien que de manera temprana decidió partir, dejando una huella que se hace tan profunda como los años que pasan y siguen pasando.

Un saludo a lo alto, mirando a los ojos a este misterio de nuestra humanidad!
