How it all started...I was living alone during the pandemic, struggling to focus on nursing school via Zoom. A patient that I was doing telemedicine with told me that keeping her hands busy with crochet/quilting was helping her get through each day. Her positive attitude inspired me to dig around and find some yarn and a hook that I had in the back of my closet. Over the year we discussed her health and well-being, ensured she had food and medication, and we also spent time sharing our works-in-progress. I was supposed to be helping her as a student nurse, but her resilience through art impacted me far more than anything I could have ever done for her and taught me a skill that I will carry throughout life 💕
