WHAT'S THE MOOD LIKE BACKSTAGE BEFORE A CONCERT?
As you can see from this pic taken one minute before going on stage in Paris, typically it is a relaxed mood backstage.
Sure, occasionally some nerves are felt. But overall a confident feeling exists in those moments leading up to greeting the fans who turn out to see Simple Minds wherever we are in the world.
Born out of the experience of having already performed thousands of concerts throughout our long career, where fortunately we have witnessed our audiences go home happy afterwards almost every night, it's a natural confidence that is felt.
Performing music is our job after all. And although we might like to believe that we are getting pretty good at doing our job, that doesn't mean we don't aim to get much better at doing it.

Our dates come to a finale tonight in Paris and we cannot tell you how much we are looking forward to playing again in "The City Of Light." Before leaving France however - we want to say a massive 'thank you' to all who came to the shows this week in Lille, Bordeaux, and Lyon. You spoiled us with the reaction - I don't think we will ever forget those nights.....Merci!!

Hello everyone.

There are people who make things happen, there are people who watch things happen, and there are people who wonder what happened. To be successful, you need to be a person who makes things happen.

Music should strike fire from the heart of man, and bring tears from the eyes of woman.

I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music.
